Across all social media platforms, I've seen the same thing - grown men admitting to crying at this beautiful ending for the trio, as I did. It's like losing a very dear friend, knowing you'll never see them again. I've watched them since Top Gear started in 2002 and all thoughout their 22 years together. When Jezza unplugged his mic, and that sound it made marking the end, then just silence before the song kicks in. I guess you could say it brings a whole new meaning to "pulling the plug" on something. Thank you, Hammond, Jezza and May for all the laughs you've brought, and bringing us on the adventure of a lifetime. That is something we will never forget.

Wondered how they would end it and I couldn’t imagine a better way than Jeremy unplugging his mic and the three of them having a final on camera moment. Jeremy, Richard and James thank you for being a constant source of joy, happiness and laughter for the last 20 odd years. It won’t be the same without you working together

this ending had me bawling my eyes out because my dad introduced me to these guys about 9 years ago and i’ve been watching them ever since. it really feels like i’m saying goodbye to 3 of my best friends. this last special was perfect. thank you jeremy, richard and james. thank you for everything
