Thanks again for the video Shintaro! Really like the detail on the raised foot as a means for gaining information on what your opponents reaction will be.

So if I remember correctly there is an older video of you doing Aikido and I am kinda curious: Do you think certain movements in Aikido can help a Judoka develop their Judo? Or the philosophical aspect of Aiki helping Judoka in terms of mindset?
@Shigashi844 жыл бұрын
Doesnt really help that much. They are very different.
Closer to Kibisu Gaeshi, low singles are like shooting for ankle picks.
@iamthatiam494 жыл бұрын
@@andrewferris1903 thanks, I figured it would be a Kibisu gaeshi because as you said the ankle pick, place the technique is aiming for the ankle.

@@iamthatiam49 Translating terms between Wrestling and Judo is more art than science, the Low Single has only been in Wrestling since the late 80s and doesn't use any Kumi Kata so it's not really Judo. Kabisu Gaeshi is just the closest term to fit the move, where Kuchiki Daoshi is used more for the traditional single, High C or Knee Pick.
