👍🥰👏👏👏. It is amazing how many songs he recorded. I'm fortunate that my best friend have me one of Hank William's Sr.records. that belonged to her parents. It's still in the Orginal Album cover sill has the plastic covering on it. They just opened it. The paper in which the album was in, is still inside with the album still inside. It hardly look like it was ever played. Not one scratch, and get this. The price is still on the plastic covering. I'm afraid to play it. I feel so Honored that she gave it to me. Sadly both her parents are gone and my Best friend passed in 2014 from a stroke. She gave me her parents country music collection. To me it's Treasure I keep them in a zippered case, inside of a Box. Hank William's Sr. Is a Icon. Nobody has come close to his Voice. I see that they have made some changes, good changes since Ace and I was last there. I'M Happy to see his and Audrey's final Resting place is kept up. It shows how much they was loved. I'm sure Hank Jr and other family members make sure the flowers replaced and they visit often. Thank you Whittdoc. It looks Amazing. When we went it just felt so Peaceful and serene. Nobody since has done it like Hank. Though he died so young. His Legacy Lives on.🙏🕊🦋🌹🌹💐🌷🌻🌻✨🌠. Love,Respect and Positivity Always. Neita,Ace and Family.✌🖖👊💕🙂👋.

Beautiful tribute, Chris, I really enjoyed hearing all about Hank. I did not grow up a country fan but when I did start listening to it Hank was still very popular on the stations. My husband was a big fan and I became a big fan, too. I always learn something new from your videos and this one was no different. Thanks Chris!

Hank was not only a country music pioneer, he was a major influence on rock music. His music still holds up six decades later.

I actually had the privilege of visiting his grave recently as well, and I'm a big country music fan. It's a very impressive and beautiful monument, Hank Jr certainly created a grand tribute to his parents! Hank Sr also wrote and recorded the classic Gospel song "I Saw The Light," the lyrics of which are prominently displayed on he and Audrey's markers, and was also the title of a recent biopic of his life. It's a shame he could never kick his alcohol habit, which was probably the primary cause of his premature death. It's sad that his daughter never knew him, or even knew that he was her father until she was an adult.

I ALWAYS thought it ODD that Hank's EX-WIFE was buried next to him!!!! I guess she wanted to be "BURIED IN STYLE"!!!! That's the only sense I can make of it!!!! And I didn't realize Mr. Williams was that young when he passed!!!! I thought he was more like in his 40's!!!! Then again, he was before my time. Thanks Chris!!!! Always a "BANG UP JOB"!!!!

So Glad that you did a video on Hank Williams S.R. I grew up listening to his music. My grandpa was a huge fan. Hank's songs were just coming on the radio when he got out of the service. He always told me that he still remembered it coming on the radio announcing Hank's passing, he was working for Texaco at the time driving a fuel truck. I would always pick him up Hank Williams cd's for Christmas and his birthday. If you don't have it the 3 disc set Hank Williams The Unrealased Recordings is a must have for a Hank Williams S.R fan. I often wondered if it was even known by anyone that something was wrong with his heart?

You are right, I did NOT realize Mr. Hank, was that young. I also did not know, that Dr. added that poison to the B12. Wonder if that was ever investigated. Sad for his family. I am going to watch this over. Thanks for posting.

First off, thank you for prominently mentioning Rufus Payne. He's often forgotten or only mentioned in passing and it's time we give that man his due as well. His grave location is unknown but he's buried in Lincoln Cemetery in Montgomery. Icon is not the proper title for Hank. I'm not sure there is a proper title in the English language. His music sounds just as good today as it did then. Sadly he wouldn't be accepted in today's so-called "country" music scene.

I've been to Patry Cline grave it is nice and easy to find but when you go also visit her home ( not far from the cemetery) and also check out the bell tower near her grave it was dedicated to her by Dottie West. Also there is another country singer next to Patsy Cline but I font know who he is.

I was wondering if you have ever done a video on the grave of Mary Evelyn Ford? If not I would love to see you do one on her. She is known as the "Witch Girl of Pilot's Knob" at the cemetery in Marion, Kentucky. Many who have visited say her spirit is trapped in the gated grave she has and that it is very haunted.

Okay this was nice but I have a question how many people are buried there because it looks like two large headstones of two large monuments now people can buy whatever they want if they can afford it but if it's just two people buried there the cemetery shouldn't allow them to take up so much space now unless he got other family members there then I'll keep this hole in my head quiet but if it's just him and his ex-wife and that's another question why his ex-wife got to be there she was his ex evidently he fell out of love with her and your cameo I wasn't expecting that that caught me off guard I'll behave and won't say anything out of line about your cameo then again I don't have to cuz you already know how I feel about you Lumberjack 😍also you live in West Virginia you're closer too New York I thought you was in Tennessee or Texas somewhere wow 😁 you're only about 7 maybe 8 hours away from me as always no disrespect intended New York City USA 💛🧡❤🤍🖤🤎💜💙💚
