And as mentioned in this reaction, Dhanush has this natural charisma that just elevates all the different scenes that he's in.

Even though the plot was something we’ve seen before, I honestly really liked this movie. I thought the action sequences were some of the best I’ve seen and most of the performances were good. Don’t get me wrong Ryan Gosling and Ana de Armas were awesome as Six and Dani, but I thought the real MVP was Chris Evans, I just couldn’t get enough of Lloyd (hopefully sometime in the future we get a spin-off of how he became such a psycho). @@cwilliams7630 well John Wick is a different kind of movie. At it's core, it's more steeped in martial arts filmmaking than your average blockbuster. As far as blockbuster movies go, The Gray Man is probably one of the more entertaining ones as it remedies that of those 90s pulp action thrillers like Air Force One or Die Hard just done in the modern day. It's so much The Winter Soldier and Civil War trademark with the whole title logos and even the actions with the whole street assault that takes place with the police and the organization that's hunting Sierra Six. The action sequences are the highlights of this film and at times it felt they used Bruce Lee's fighting methodology Jeet Kun Do as the main style of fighting between Sierra Six and Lloyd Jensen. Another thing I really enjoyed was the Henry Jackman score with that crazy tempo music that felt a lot like the score from the first Terminator film. Also Sierra Four is played by Callan Mulvey who played an operative in Captain America The Winter Soldier, KGBeast in BVS, and one of the 300 soldiers in 300 Rise of the Empire. You really get a sense of The Equalizer meets The Human Target meets Safe House with Sierra Six.

I loved this film. It’s a traditional, classic Hollywood action movie. It was refreshing that they didn’t put “the message” into it or politicize it. I also thought Ana De Armas did an amazing job and may be the new female action star in Hollywood. I thought she was a million times better at action than Charlize Theron in Atomic Blonde. It was refreshing that her fight scenes were “realistic” in the sense that they didn’t have her kicking the crap out of 200+ lb men. She got her butt handed to her in almost every fight but she held her own in a “realistic” way. Two thumbs up for that! And I actually like Ryan Gosling as an action star. He has a subdued presence, makes quirky and snarky comments which don’t go over the top like Ryan Reynolds. I thought the whole cast was great. I can see why it has a 90% viewer score.

He found her from the heart monitor. Earlier they show it can be found anywhere and he has the number either tattooed or written on his wrist.

While watching The Gray Man, I kept thinking how great the Russos would have been to direct the Uncharted movie. That's one movie that is based around its action movies. And I believe they could have make the story and characters work better than the movie we got (which was passable).

To me Chris Evans was the highlight of this movie, i enjoyed the movie mostly because of his character

Personally think you guys are letting your view on what a movie is supposed to be, get in the way of fully enjoying other movies. Though you're saying that you somewhat liked it, it was clear that you're nitpicking at how/when/where a movie should be original, to the point that you actually miss out on a lot of originality. That was the impression i got.

Dhanush is a popular actor yes, but the thing he's known for most was the viral song 'Why this kolaveri di?'😂😂 Go listen to it if you haven't already. Manz come a long way since then.

rottentomatoes critic are going to the same place and the dodo bird. It's kinda funny how recently the audience score has been better then the critics score. And the audience has been correct when that has happened.

I thought the movie was fun and entertaining. Chris and Ryan carried the movie so hard, the story was weak but I didn't mind except for the last part (Ana being caught out of nowhere and the bad guys not actually stopped when that's the whole point of the movie). I understand why Chris Evans rejected the lead role for the villain, he looked like he was having a hell of a time.

I really liked this movie. It's nothing original, but Gosling and Evans bring their A game, and the action scenes are truly enthralling.

I loved the movie. As you guys said, it was a 90s action flick with a modern aesthetic. We don't get that too often where they are going; so bonkers. My only gripe is the dialogue could have been much better in parts.

I loved the use of drone shots, and cranking camera speeds in this movie.

Are you guys aware this is gonna be a series of films adapting the books? It is a spectacle film for sure, the plot is just an excuse to have stakes and move to the next action scene but it works and the actors kill it on top of that. God, Chris Evans is so fun to watch. The shots are creative(including some of the drone shots), the action set pieces are too, it's just really fun. Also just for that bench scene, the bad guys aren't shooting each other, they're shooting the cops, tactical response teams and Six but mostly the bench.

I watched this rewatch just to see your guys reaction to the scene at the house to the song Silver bird. It didn’t disappoint.
