I love seeing how they gave Susato the same mannerisms as Ryunosuke while she was disguised as Ryutaro. The way she raises her hand, slaps her face and she even does that dramatic jumping back up into the wall. It goes to show just how much of an influence Ryunosuke was on her.

Uhhh thats one way of seeing it. I think it fits the theme and story really well. However, it's also re-used assets. They took the animation rigging from Ryunosuke and modified it for Lawyer/Cousin Susato to save on time and manpower. It's the same reason why they keep using Detective Hosonoga and reused Soseki Additionally, some assets were reused from the Phoenix Wright game. Assistant Susato from the first game had some animations that were very similar to Maya Fey (the surprised animation and another one i think). And Ryunosuke shares a LOT of animations with Phoenix Wright. Overall, the reused assets are not bad for the game, and I'm fine with them reusing assets. Thank you for listening to my ted talk.

Well, having a new rookie is at least better than "amnesia". And the Payne clan still upholds the reputation of *almost* beating rookies! At least this time the victim got what they fucking deserved. (To the point that, when the aftermath of the crime scene was about to be shown, it had an ad of a football team cheering!) Spoiler: Doubt the killer was the worst person in this whole case. Not even top 3.

I played this case with Susato's DLC outfit, which honestly made things hilarious since the entire courtroom didn't think Susato was a woman despite her wearing an outfit that CLEARLY stated otherwise, though. My headcannon is that since Iris made that outfit, it had some kind of gadget built-in that fogged up the glasses of everyone who wore them, and fogged the vision of those that didn't. That's why, despite Susano wearing something that would IMEDIATELY give her away, everyone still thought she was a man. It was due to the fact that _they couldn't see clearly._

I know that in originals, Ace Attorney's events take place in Tokyo, and in English version, in LA, California. But since we don't see many distinct features characteristic to specific nations, it's easy to swap locations. But in Great Ace Attorney, we have both Tokyo and London, of the past nonetheless, and the difference in style is very visible. So it'd be impossible for localization team to change the locations. Still, the fact that, in the official version, they left Japanese names without change (especially those whose descendants are in modern-day AA with localized names), AND changed the names of native British while they were already English in Japanese version... It's very confusing. In some cases, I get it - like Sherlock Holmes being in private domain (but it's hella complicated, so I won't go into it), but in most, I don't. And why names of Holmes and Watson are copywritten, and other characters from the books (like Enoch Drebber) are not...?

Susato: will be thrown out of the courtroom if anyone learns she's a woman. Also Susato: doesn't even try. Like damn, her breasts are showing, her hairdo is clearly female and her voice is the girliest one to ever exist. Robin Newman had put much more effort in maintaining her disguise even though her reasons were much less imortant, she didn't have a friend whose life depends on it. Not that I blame a girl for being feminine, of course, it's just... I'm only 40 mins into this and I'm nervous something goes wrong. Also, Auchi's voice is just *EXCELLENT* . I love both Payne's and Auchi's voices, just like I love them as characters. They are my second favorite prosecutors with only Klavier exceeding them.

Love the case due to susato and her dad combo, plus Rei telling the truth (when she said dude needs to let go and admit he did it after an hour of going back and forth lol) but the way Jezaille passed was disappointing tbh cuz whatever deal went down between countries was obvious, you would think that whoever made her poison John Wilson was also out for her skin since she could talk but its some rando who has no link to the dark affairs we are going to be engulfed in...granted she was awful and said terrible things, reactions could go both ways but to kill is just never the solution

Illegal for women to be in court? Come to think of it, we haven't seen very many female lawyers in this franchise. Franziska von Karma (who wasn't even Japanese, she was German), Athena Cykes (who also wasn't Japanese, Phoenix found her abroad in Europe), Mia Fey (whom while technically a Japanese citizen was born in a Kura'in immigrant colony and thus whose culture and bloodline are mostly Kura'inese), Lana Skye (whom wasn't even a practicing lawyer through most of her career, she started as a detective and by the time we meet her she's been the Chief Prosecutor for years, never actually saw her in court as a lawyer at any point), and Calisto Yew from Miles Edgeworth Investigations (a spin-off game where we never actually saw her in court because the trial got cancelled). So yeah, this series really does have a noticeable lack of female lawyers from its own country. 2:23:53 "Spring of my Topknot, the time is right for farewell, hope is lost forever" ooh, so close, that was almost a haiku- but 1 syllable too long at the end there.

Hey! I had the same frustrations and I figured it out! (And maybe you did. too, but just in case) Go to Select Adventure, and the screen should pop up with New Game and Continue. If you press either left or right button, the screen will change to Resolve, and you can start the New Game. Hope this helps!
