I had the great grace of visiting Canterbury Cathedral two summers ago and standing where he was martyred. Amazing experience .

I wish more priests preached like this, telling stories about the tell the lives of the saints on their feast days, because telling these stories really brings alive the spirit of the early church, and I feel like the spirit of the saint in question and the spirit of the church during that period are teaching me about real Christianity through the eyes of that saint. It brings to life virtues that we've lost in the modern world, and helps me to understand these virtues.

I always call it the eleven hundreds rather than the twelfth century. Then I have eleven in my head and not twelve.

but 12th century sounds so much more dignified and official 😬

@@Bill-mq7wrBut I constantly hear people of all status stumble over this. It does not sound more dignified or official. The eleven hundreds immediately puts the number eleven in my mind rather than the number twelve if I were to say the twelfth century. It would be like an image face watch in a circle rather than a digital watch that must be translated back to the actual time. I was born in the nineteen hundreds. I prefer to say that than the twentieth century. But the traditional Latin Mass Catholic priests are brilliant. I am so glad to have converted. Praise God!

Hi there, 11 hundreds is easy to understand. Great moment in Catholic history. St Dominic and the Rosary and the Benedictine monasteries that were built. History is so Christ established. Sancta Maria ora pro nobis 😊 Keep safe 🙏🏼

@@dunnsscotus5643 No such thing as a “ waste of prayer”. God will do whatever He wants, but it is our DUTY to pray.
