I have loved the moody blues since I was a kid,my always played this is the moody blues albums on tape which was a best of ,and then I listened to the rest of their albums especially the golden 7 from 1967-1972.

They never really made a bad album, did they? “Blue Guitar” has long been a favorite of mine.

As for a band that pulled off the Moody Blues sound check out the Collectors from Vancouver. Two great albums, What Love and Grass and Wild Strawberries, very Moody like. They changed their name to Chilliwack and became a much more commercial band but I like them as the Collectors.

I've been a big Moody Blues fan since forever and I'm finally going to say it out loud: "Days of Future Past" is my least favorite album of theirs. Others praise it while I cringe at the over-the-top dramatic orchestration. Meanwhile I had spiritual experiences with their other albums, but 50 years ago I was much younger then and drugs definitely played a part.
