Seeing a "meager" manure spreader treated to quality craftmanship by someone that truly cares for their livelihood is awesome. Pete thanks to you and your family for bringing us on your journey and allowing us to learn and experience a simpler life. Same here. I absolutely knew that you're OCD about such things and the spreader would look and function like new when you were done. When you dump the first load of manure into this beauty will there be a slight pang of regret that this recreated beauty is sullied?

My three year olds favorite video WAS the one where you and your wife catch the turkeys. We watched it about 500 times. His new favorite video is the manure spreader video. We have a six acre homestead and have been thinking to purchase a manure spreader. My son wants to paint the new to us manure spreader red, just like "farmer Pete". You are having an impact on the future generations of farmers. Keep up the good work, Farmer Pete.

I laughed when you first said you weren't going to paint the whole spreader. I knew you would though. Very impressive wood deck job you did. That spreader should be a good implement for the farm a long time. Thank you for the trouble to film it for us. Ken

Hi: you can still start today with just a couple of potted tomato or pepper plants. Lord willing, this spring I put in the first garden for the rest of my life (retied). It doesn't have to be a large farm to be a farmer. (a couple plants in the back yard).

Never in the history of the world of farming have truer words ever ben said than "It's just a manure spreader". I can't recall how many times my cousin and I have have said that to each other while being "better than new" particular in our maintenance and repair of just about every thing else around the farm.

There is a family story often told. My father had builders building a new diary. He heard one of them say "Its only a shed". Well, he stopped work and held a site meeting and put them streight that it was his place of work and he demanded it was built with care and good workmanship. Nothing less. Not just a shed. That was in 1967 my hand print is in the concrete foundation. I am 56

I remember when I was a young kid on the dairy farm when my dad bought his first power take off manure spreader. He said it revolutionized the manure business on our farm because when the snow was too deep to spread the manure he could just back off the road and let it go into a pile. Then in the spring he loaded it back into the John Deere model 33 spreader with the Farmall Super C and spread it. Thank you Pete for entertaining me with you great videos. My Grand Dad said manure is like money, it's only good if you spread it around.

Thank you, Hilarie and Pete! A new video from you is very welcome indeed! It appears that you're doing an excellent careful one-step-at-a-time rebuild of this manure spreader and it will distribute old feces as good as a new machine! There's nothing quite like that deep red of your farm equipment. It's great that you made your own tongue-and-groove pressure treated floor. God willing, it will last a good long time, and should, with the care you're giving it as you're rebuilding it. Those old sprockets really show their age and wear! Thanks again for posting this video - I treasure any video you publish as your delivery and care that you take is apparent and appreciated.

You know, (and I don't know if, like most of what you do, Pete- self-taught and curiosity - probably the best teachers ever) you have such a knack at properly positioning your camera. Everything is so clear and, you anticipate exactly what you see with your own eyes for the camera to do its best. You change angles and move often. You are a really good camera man. The quality of your videos is always excellent. Thank you. I have watched this video two or three times...it is just informative and quite frankly, because of you demeanour, very entertaining. Entertaining therapeutic...like in a very positive way. Thank you very much. M. Coderre Saskatchewan
