So, As of tomorrow, XDefiant is out for 2 weeks and frankly, I've been having a blast with the game, putting the most time into this than any other game recently, I'd say Helldivers was the only thing that compared and then the launch of COD last fall which is to be expected when a launch of that caliber happens, but XDefiant's launch has been a busy one and it seems like, coming out of that launch, that there's some good news to report back for the game and the future ahead... This is different to helldivers, the finals. The finals was shit and still is with how it plays and looks. Xdefiant is very different, plays and looks really well. It will hold its numbers and will coexist with cod as its different with abilities. It feels like a AAA game.

You can shoot the spider even if it is already on you. Look down and it is easier. You can also time your melee attack when it hops on you but it is trickier.

I love xdefiant! I hated sbmm when I played hours daily. Now that I only have time to play once or twice a week I hate sbmm even more. So much variety in gameplay already. And I love the classic feel, even with abilities, its mechanically sound without a bunch of movement exploits and other bs.

@@donavyncruz8611just had my first match where this dude killed me by bunny hopping before, during, and after. Saw him doing the same shit all match. 70 kills and everyone else had about 20-25. His edge was definitely movement exploits as often as possible. Hopefully they come out with a penalty for bunny hopping. All we need are players to have a match with someone like this and decide to practice doing the same + people already doing so in COD that are coming over

I sorely missed having an arcade shooter than didn't feel like a chore to play. It's beyond embarrassing for COD when a free shooter is this much more fun and better overall, even with the existence of the hit or miss netcode. Once they improve on that, it will actually be a pretty damn solid competitor, which we definitely need more of because COD has seriously become complacent offering the most mediocre multiplayer experiences in gaming to promote their bundle selling simulators.

This is easily the most fun I've had on a game in a while and a lot of my friends who mainly played other games actually enjoy it too. It gives us all a mutual game we can play at the end of the day and is bringing us together with the old cod nostalgia, the rage and pop off moments included. Hearing everything the game is fixing and coming out with makes me really hopeful for the future of this game.

I personally love Xdefiant the game is a completely new thing in ubisofts catalog especially because the assets they were given were from r6 siege and farcry 6 to build something new and as being a cod player since MW2 (09) and a siege player since early into the games alpha I love that I can play both a more classic wide open rush approach like cod but also play a more tactical strategic approach like siege and still have fun at a high level of satisfaction. The game has alot of ironing out that much is certain but if you're on the fence about it take it from a cod and siege player this game deserves a chance to thrive as it is truly a refreshing experience

So far I have greatly enjoying my time with XDefiiant, it feels like a breath of fresh air for fist person shooters. My only complaints right now are the amount of jumpspam (its super easy to do and can severely mess up an opponents aim mid gunfight) and inconsistent time to kill (weapon can feel like the take to long or melt depending on if you can land headshots, with marksman rifles suffering badly from this). And I have confidence these issues will be fixed. So far the game looks to have a bright future ahead (it being free also helps).

Feels like an old arcade style fps, almost like CoD 4 for me, with a twist with the abilities. Usually not a fan of the ability aspect of fps games but it’s fits really well and it’s fun to learn to counter each and feels good to shut an enemy’s ability down and take over an obj, gun play is good and will only improve hopefully. My only immediate complaint is dying around corners and walls and I’m sure sometimes I get killed but I noticed it happens with others too and that the Net Code I believe

I sadly had my first interaction with what had to be a hacker - they were on my team and I was seeing people dying constantly on the opposing team. They were 84 to 4 and we basically beat the game in the minimum amount of time. I REALLY hope hacking doesn’t become too much of a problem

Only thing I fear for this game is that Ubisoft will go the Rainbow Six Route. That game started out well, with only good operators, but then it got crazy once they ran out of ideas. I just hope XDefiant will have a good 2-3 year lifecycle and then they‘ll make another one, instead of going batshit crazy.

I wasn't liking it until last night, suddenly the netcode felt good and the game was just insanely responsive and felt "right". Logged on just then and it still feels great. I don't know if I just clicked with the game or if the servers may have been a bit shaky early on, but I am loving it now. I still get killed behind impenetrable objects more often than I think is normal so there does seem to be some sync issues still, but it feels better all the time and I am sure they are working on it.

Besides the netcode, I would like to just see more servers! Denmark/sweden need one, we have some of the best internet in the world, and sitting on fiber with 40 ping when its low because there is nothing that is close. so the "connection based" match making makes like no sense, when there isn't any good connections to be had. And I could see a lot of big american cities are left out too. One would hope the fact that they reached so many more players than expected would lead to also expanding the servers, it is the absolute biggest problem right now (netcode + servers)

That background gameplay is nothing like the lobbies i get as a casual player, nobody reacts to you or are super late when they do. My game displays ping between 35-40 and my matches are chaotic as hell and people react to me surprising them rather than me getting kills unnoticed, i'm constantly swarmed by enemies bunny hopping every corner and jump spamming every gunfight. Look at the score on that Occupy match... you're leading by 200 plus points...

How do ur weapons have like 0 recoil and are praticly laser beams? Is it becuse of controler and aim assist? I’ve been having a lot of fun with the game but they gotta fix that thing where I’m getting shot through walls when I’m well behind cover. It’s like people out there curving bullets. Last time I checked there’s no faction from the movie “Wanted”

Awesome game! Great gun play, yes it has some annoying net code issues and bullets not connecting but that’s not as bad as people say. And it isnt constant problems, it’s an awesome game and I hope it stays for years to come rivalling cod
