My mom and I were on that train, fourth from the front in car 503 if I remember correctly.

Does my heart good to see these trains so well patronized.

Andy Muller charges reasonable prices for these trips. That’s why the trains are always sold out. In addition you get a superior product with good people in charge. Railroads run by railfans will score big every time.

@regularguy72662 жыл бұрын
@@trainlover123trainsrock no, there's never been problems with the bell, it's just how the engineer or fireman is ringing it.

I was on the train! It was absolutely superb weather! 2102 and 425 put on a spectacular show! What's funny was that I didn't even know they would double head. I literally shat my pants when I saw them at Outer Station. I felt like crying almost. It was one of the best trips I have ever taken.

I went on the ride with the better half and our youngest. Kind of a late surprise birthday gift for me. Great time with the family and I am glad to see you were there to document it.

I’m coming to see the 2102 in a few weeks. You did a good job showing the whole operation and what to expect.

Wow, hope one day the R&N will get more locomotives, freight cars and passenger coaches added to their roster in the future. Great catch btw!

Bravo - One of your best! So nice to see these two well-maintained locomotives playing together on such an amazingly long consist, in Mother Nature's best finery! Glad you could get back to shoot the event. Fascinating to watch all the preparations! Your stills are a nice enhancement to the fine video footage. Nice bonus with those handsome F's and that nostalgic whine+growl of the 567 prime movers - nothing compares! NOT a complaint, but don't think you mentioned why the train is pulled by the diesels for the last lap back to Reading. Just curious!
@3985uprr2 жыл бұрын
No I didn’t mention it but it was easier for them to take them off at Port Clinton because that’s where they service those engines

@@steveember8972 the train was pulled by diesels on the last leg due to crew hours, the reading & northern has only 2 steam crews I believe, and two engines in one train, and once they are at port Clinton on the southbound it would meet both crew’s limit of 12 hours

Two DE or DC locomotives from LIRR would never pull 19 passenger cars without blowing something .

Thank you, RRHG. Better to have onengine working more than tworking less. Unfortunate thathengineers do not dress like steam locomotivengineers. Has 2102 whistle been tonedown? Does not sound very loud. Turn the camera and follow the locomotives. No one wants to watch passenger cars when we can see steam locomotives. 15:40 Coal in the tender? Or converted toil?
