Thank you Steve for taking one for the team and I can now cross that off my list of places to visit. It is sad to see how much the lake level has dropped. Another 50 years and it will be a puddle.

I've lived in Salt Lake for 34 years and can count on one hand how many times I've been to that lake. Go to Bear Lake, well worth a drive.

We’ll have to check that out! Thank you! 👍🏼

I've lived in Utah, 30 minutes from the great salt lake my entire life, and the only time I've been there is for a field trip in elementary school. And I own a boat. Nobody that lives here goes there for fun. There's a bunch of way better lakes/reservoirs for water recreation. The great salt lake makes for an amazing view when you're hiking our awesome mountains though!

We’ll have to be on the lookout for some other local water recreation hot spots next time we visit! 👍🏼👍🏼

Us locals just know that the Great Salt Lake is not a place to go. Go enjoy the mountains, not the Great Salt Lake!
