Sorry it took a bit making this video, I just wanted to play episode 2 a few more times to get the right sense for this video. Anyway I was originally only going to make this an analysis video on Chloe's third dream, but I slipped in a small theory at the end there. The Raven is Arcadia Bay and knows how important Chloe is to this story. No one has ever really said it, but I always found it odd that Chloe never mentions the Raven in her dreams, just her dad. Which makes me question if she can really see it at all.
What are your thoughts on Chloe's dream? Do you think it was just a simple warning for Chloe to be careful with Rachel? Or do you think it's something more? Let me know in the comments!

AGirlAndAGame "Fire wants all the beauty" William, or the raven I should say, Is talking about Mark Jefferson. Fire blinds with beauty, darkness blinds with loss/absence, yet they're different. Nathan is darkness, All you can see in him is the depression he's feeling for the loss of fatherly love. A lot of the characters of Life is strange have stated that Mark Jefferson is "hot" Hot is another term for beauty, and hot for, Fire... Since, Mark Jefferson is a lady killer (no pun intended) They don't realize the danger. And Nathan, His darkness, His absence/loss of love, blinds people. Darkness can reveal the real beauty, like in the nightmare sequence when William waved his hand and it was Dark, the stars appeared from darkness. And if you get a better perspective on Nathan, he has a beautiful heart, But a dark mind/mentality.

I have something to add to these sorts of Rachel is the fire theories. From Rachel's missing persons posters in the original LIS we know that Rachel will eventually get a Star and Dragon tattoo. Both of these things are sources of fire to some extent. Rachel is also a Leo and in astrology the Leo is considered a fire star sign along with Aries and Sagittarius, with the 9 other star signs being either Air, Earth or Water. And Amber has a double meaning I think. It can be considered a colour of fire, and in the original LIS it could be a reference to an amber alert since Rachel goes missing.

I never thought about the "amber alert" thing, but I had previously connected Amber to fire, since Rachel started the fire in EP1. Also, "amber" is a colour, and, in film and literature, it symbolises energy, optimism, enthusiasm. Chloe's life had been so dull and pessimistic after William died, and then Rachel came with strong energy and gave Chloe optimism and enthusiasm. Also, I think it's like a stone or something, I found this: "Amber is known to produce an electric charge when rubbed" - this could be describing how Chloe felt towards Rachel. You know that saying that, usually when you have a crush on someone, you feel electricity? It could also be a reference to the storm? I'm probably delving too deep, now XD

I think the dream is warning her about the shit that is going to all come down on Chloe. Like I'm not saying Life is Strange is all about Chloe's problems but I think the dreams are warning her about all the major events that are going to happen in Life is Strange but in a very odd way.

Wonderful game, wonderful video. I think your analysis is pretty spot on. Rachel knows chloe is firmly under her spell and not through any concsious malice sees her as the perfect vehicle in that moment to help her get away. So so impressed with this game though, like most I was little worried about a new developer but if anything I think deck9 might be doing an even better job than dontnod. Also if you haven't already check out the full length song from the dream sequence, hole in the earth by daughter. The whole soundtrack so far has been about as close to perfection as possible. Keep these coming please!

Rachel definitely blinded Chloe with beauty, but has she acted like a chameleon around her? (I'm unsure about that) Rachel definitely has enough of being the chameleon. (doesn't want to be her dad)

Hey, great analysis there! Some more thoughts for you. Have you read The Tempest? I think it's an important reference throughout the whole season. Check the description of the role that Chloe ended up playing: >Ariel >Prospero’s spirit helper, a powerful supernatural being whom Prospero controls completely. Rescued by Prospero from a long imprisonment (within a tree) at the hands of the witch Sycorax, Ariel is Prospero’s servant until Prospero decides to release him. He is mischievous and ubiquitous, able to traverse the length of the island in an instant and change shapes at will. Ariel carries out virtually every task Prospero needs accomplished in the play. This could prove that Rachel saves Chloe. And that Chloe helps her out too in response. I also like how Rachel is so smart and ambitious she finds a way to communicate with Max even being dead at the time. Wonder how such a clever and thoughtful person could lose to Jefferson. Guess she loved him indeed. Would rather not imagine that xD

Maybe Rachel knew that Chloe would possibly end up dead. Idk about you guys but to me it seems like people with powers are intensified around Chloe. Rachel's mom seemed to know more than she let on, and absolutely knew something when Rachel set that massive fire. Rachel knew I think, both the fate of max and the fate of Chloe, but would still have Chloe in death if needed. Idk if that makes sense but that's just what I interpreted

An excellent theory of what the greater beauty could mean, about how Chloe, Max and Rachel are connected and why. Are the dreams telling Chloe that she will suffer for losing Rachel? Or is the raven up to something that will bring good or bad consequences? I am scared of what the dreams could be, but we will have to wait and see in the final chapter of BTS.

Thats fucked up she pretty much used everyone but i see why i do believe she didnt use chloe she was literally planning a trip for her and chloe when you think about it she was actually just trying to move things along so they would both get out of there..... rachel was desperate to get out of there and she knew chloe was too so maybe it was an act of love not selfishness, she is willing to give up some things for chloe she was even going to give up the tempest just to save her ass. So in conclusion i believe rachel had way better motives then it is portrayed and i think that more of that will be uncovered soon.

I don't think it was Rachel's intention to give up the tempest. I mean she was stunned and let down, when she realized the consequences. I wonder how she feels about being a chameleon Probably not very positive, since she confesses to Chloe "I don't want to become like my dad". Though I wonder whether she thought the same before being suspicious about her father. I'm also wondering whether being a chameleon means: not being herself (lying to other people, maybe Chloe, too; are her feelings real?) or if it is herself that she wants to please everyone and is open to being in love with several persons at the same time without really thinking that this might hurt the others. Will she still try to leave Arcadia Bay in ep3? did she want to leave before being suspicious about her father?

Interesting theory. But I sincerely wish that such "prophecies" and hypotheses would not outweigh the importance and "foul" the narrated relationship between the Before the Storm couple (depending on the player's choices). I personally did not like, for example, that "great beauty" was Max and, as a consequence, put a hierarchy between the two girls who got involved with Chloe. Although the third episode may bring shocking novelties about Rachel, I prefer to think that the two girls have their particularities without "promoting" a "supernatural favoritism."

we still don't know why the blue butterfly is so important to Chloe. Sera has a yellow/orange butterfly tattooed on her right arm. I wonder if this will play a role in ep 3

butterflies are wild, free spirited and beautiful - but they don't last long. so they fit chloe pretty well. also, there's this thing called the butterfly effect where one choice leads to a chain reaction of events. Chloe being saved sets off all the events of life is strange, so again, this fits her.

also i will say that orange and blue are opposite colors of the spectrum. complimentary colors are visual opposites, yet when paired together, they bring out the best in each other. Chloe is a troubled, hurt kid still aching from her father's death, but she's still a kid, and she's still very very innocent in the grand scheme of things. Sera is an adult who consciously made many awful choices and has seemingly learned from them. they're opposites - but yet, they are united in their love for rachel and their desire to have her in their lives. the fact that she also has a butterfly as a symbol may mean that she, like chloe, is a free spirit who just wanted to escape from herself.

I think is that the Raven or Arcadia Bay itself trying to help Chloe out of her misery, it's like in BTS, The Raven trying to warn Chloe from Rachel, which we know in first LiS it happened, Rachel is actually just kind of like a "thot" who always find relationship with someone benefits her, example : Rachel cheats with Frank (drugs) cheats with Jefferson (photographer or art, Rachel might wanted to be a model that time). Most of all, it makes sense too, "Darkness blinds us with darkness and loss, which Chloe is feeling right now, until Fire (Rachel) come to her life which blinds Chloe with Beauty" And Chloe didn't listen which I understands why, Rachel is such a sweet girl, and she really does looked like she understands, and I feel like that's why Arcadia Bay just wanted Chloe dead, to end her misery, or Arcadia Bay self destruct to destroy the population and let Chloe being saved by Max so there's no more obstacles for them to just enjoy their relationship. edited : I commented before watching the whole thing, woops...

I was thinking about it too. When I played LIS after BTS I was intrigated with this number. I found two things about it: leet how already they said above, but i also found something about the "angel numbers": "Your angels (and/or spirit guides) guide you through your thoughts, feelings, words and visions. They also show you ‘signs’ - that is, things that you see repeatedly with your physical eyes. One of the signs is repetitive number sequences. Angel Number 1337 is a message of ‘congratulations’ from your angels and the Ascended Masters, as you have chosen the right course of action and are travelling well along your life path. There's this Vortex Club is a Cult Theory too (Vortex = Tornado) Nathan Prescott and Victoria Chase are 2 prominent members, but there's only 1 person that instruct the Vortex Club which is Nathan Prescott under his Father and Mark Jefferson secretly working under Prescott's father too I believe. It's not a coincidence that they have private bunks, I really think that Prescott trying to summon a Tornado to wipe the entire Arcadia Bay for some reason. So, all of that aren't because of Max fucking up with time, and it makes sense too I mean why would Max got her power at the first place if the universe don't want her to fuck with time. That butterfly in the bathroom is something/someone or maybe it's "the Raven" who gave her the power. And at the last 2 choice of "Sacrifice Chloe" or "Sacrifice Arcadia Bay" Sacrifice Chloe : Nathan will be straight to jail, Mark Jefferson too So, they won't be able to do some of the last cult. Which I believe it's 2 more random person Victoria Chase and Max, or just 2 random people that aren't from Vortex Club or just people who tried to fuck with their plans. Boom they failed to summon the tornado BUT for Chloe nothing happened and she never saw Max. The butterfly comes to the funeral as the butterfly lost someone. Max smiling is because Max didn't know anything about the butterfly other than the last memory of her seeing Chloe. Sacrifice Arcadia Bay : No one goes to jail, more investigating stuff and rewinding stuff. But Nathan and Mark succeed on their cult. Mark killed Nathan because Nathan actually Innocent and just forced to do that. Boom the tornado BUT Chloe knows Max. Lots of People died but I think it's the best. Prescott is a tool. Lots of asshole who threatening the innocents. idk tho feel like the ending is 50/50 but for personal self it's definitely not 50/50 edited : I just randomly posted my theory over this theory video like a dumbass just because I want to know what this channel think.

I don't think Sean Prescott is involved. But it's a weird coincidence to buy a storm save bunker (labeled so). The vortex club already had the name in '81 already though (old poster on the junkyard in BTS) What I'm still wondering: did jefferson know about Max's powers? what is the weird shit that Jefferson experienced? Has Rachel seen the photos? was she ok with them?

the reason Max got the power: knowledge - find Rachel's body - save Blackwell/Bay from Jefferson (maybe even the Prescotts in general) - get one chance to meet Chloe again, as fucked up as that might be; give her one last great time (Depending on your believes Chloe ends up in heaven, maybe with Rachel, and still knows about the week together with Max)

chloe's dreams are weird and creepy and sometimes can be true. one of her dreams, she opens her book and sees a creepy drawing of Max hanging on a tree(committed suicide). the drawing is really sad and creepy and if ya really emotional, i suggest u shouldn't look at it

One question to begin with: Ever considered, Chloe is the fire, burning everything around her? Because we know, Chloe is extremly jealous, though Rachel didn't show off that trait towards Chloe. I think you are wrong about the Relationship between Jefferson and Rachel. I don't think Jefferson is capable or interested in a romantical relationship. The most knows clichee about photographers is them telling everybody, the models are in love with them, when actually only talking about making photos. Remember, that Jefferson said that line as answer, if Rachel liked being photographed by him. Also:Rachel did tell Chloe about Jefferson. At the very begining Chloe tells Max, that Rachel talked about meeting someone, who could change her life, before vanishing. So although the letter got trshed, she didn't keep Jefferson as a secret. The letter itself is another hint, that Rachel wasn't romantical involved with Jefferson, but only fascinated. If she wrote about cheating, I doubt that she would expect Chloe to just give her "that stink eye". The way Rachel reacted to the infidality of her father shows, that she is not easygoing about relationships and knows about the moral issues of cheating, That's why she kept her relation to Frank hidden from Chloe, even lied about it in Chloe's face. If would not make any sence, if she now would be so causual about being in a relationship with Jefferson. She was in love with his work, was fascinated about him and probably saw him as chance to leave Acadia Bay and make a name out there, but she was not romantical involved with him.

Run away from her problems. I think almost all teenaged kids want to leave home and be their own person. From what I understand in BTS, besides her father cheating, Rachel's life is a lie. She's a perfect student, daughter, and overall girl to everyone in Blackwell and I don't think she wants to be that person. The real her is when she's with Chloe. Aside from liking her because she doesn't give a shit, Chloe is probably the only person who doesn't judge her or force her to be something she's not. If Rachel was to leave Arcadia, she can start a new life and the life she wanted, not what her parents want or the school or other students.

what might drew Rachel to Chloe: - Chloe doesn't care for the name "Rachel" or her facade - Chloe is greatful for Rachel's presence (and not the chameleon) - "must be hard to impress Chloe Price" ("she actually values me, holy shit!", might've been Rachel's thoughts; Was in ep 1, I don't remember the context) at first Rachel just wanted away from her conventional life, she was probably surprised/stoked realizing who Chloe really was, since she's always trying to hide her inner feelings (maybe not, Eliot is harder to read according to Samuel) Rachel went to firewalk to rebel. But primarily probably for Chloe. (she saw her with the bouncer) I wonder if the pic on social media had any further meaning to it. Chloe instantly got pushed to a higher reputation around campus. (likely intended by Rachel, but what is the intention if she wants to leave anyways?)

I thought fire was the truth surrounding Rachel's and Chloe's respective fathers. Chloe is so blinded by misery over her father's death, and Rachel is blinded by a desire for the truth about her family. I don't think it's about Rachel blinding Chloe, because in the previous episode Chloe's dad was saying how Rachel needs Chloe.
