I like to use liquidised corn as loose feed in the pole pot it makes a lovely milky cloud with very little bait to fill the fish up
@finnwalsh6552 Жыл бұрын
how do you make it
@jamesjohnson7905 Жыл бұрын
@@finnwalsh6552 it's just a can of corn put in a blender with sometimes condensed milk to get the consistency needed can only be fed with a pole pot

Great video Jon, been trying dobbin on bread for the 1st time since the start of the year, and had some success, but will give corn skins a go next time as we have alot of carp in our club pond, with being new to dobbin how long do you do before you move the bait, i've been counting to 100 b4 lifting and dropping or moving, not sure I've been practising right!

Good video Jon. Dead right about the power of Corn. Were you fishing Outer Avon. I seem to recognise the path to the carpark. Nice to see fish coming out when the weather is cold. By the way I am looking to book a days tuition later this year but cant get past the Calender shown on your web site. Cheers

I can't go to a commercial without a tin of corn! I'd feel like I'd left my right hand at home if I didn't have any. I've had so many fish on it over the years although it seems a little out of fashion nowadays. For the sake of less than 50p a tin I'd say it was silly not to take any.

Don't talk daft Jon! Sweetcorn is a brill bait, even on natural venues when there's no silly F1 overstocked hungry critters about 😨. 😂 But, my eyes got opened when I was towpath walking on the Grand Union! = I came across an old guy who was fishing a very average peg, just because it was close to the car park area. I could instantly see that he knew what he was up to, despite the "old" tackle. ... he was finese bloody good 😉! .... anyway, we got chatting & in 5 minutes, he netted a couple of decent 2lb+ beam, to add to what he'd already got... I was gobsmacked!! . Guess what bait he was using? = pearl barley ffs! 😨 I'm not kidding! I'd heard about it cos I'd read "Mr Crabtree", but I'd dismissed it as "old bollocks"... But it got me thinking = why are dead maggots different & more attractive to fish than pearl barley? Or are they?? 😨 .... you can add anything you want into the water when you boil/simmer pearl barley.... including tumeric or other stuff to dye it, and make it loads better than dead maggots 😉 ... You have been educated 😂 ❤
