Thanks, guys for watching! Btw. both the Imperial Crown and the Crown of the Kingdom of Bohemia were stored in Karlstejn. It's just that as we were fast-editing we put Bohemian Crown over Valery saying "Crown Jewels of the Holy Roman Empire". Our mistake! Forgive us Charles IV.! (and youtube doesn't allow us to put a title over it)

The Czech tourism bureau should pay you guys for your videos. I loved the nature footage today! in addition to the beautiful castle, Karlstejn is beautiful. A food video might also be good. ( it might also be expensive) I am always interested in what you are eating. Don't listen to my advise, I have never run a KZbin channel. Just keep up the good work.

I have visited the castle back in the 90's . Back then there was no ridiculous tourist trap policy of paying extra to visit the tower. It was one price for the whole castle ( as it should be) Sadly things are going for the worse and imho they cut in their own fingers since the reputation gets worse too. Same thing for the Golden street in Prague's Castle where it used to be simply a nice little street and not yet again a tourist trap where you have to pay to walk in it. Oh well, luckily it's still free to breath the fresh Bohemian forests air.... for now ... This is for the record my personal thoughts and has nothing to do with your nice channel and videos ;)
@Pidalin3 жыл бұрын
Keeping 800 years old castle cost big money, in 90s you had maybe whole castle for 100 CZK or something, but salary was 1/4 of today salary.
@Lepercurtidoo3 жыл бұрын
It does cost money to keep old buildings into shape but there are a lot of old places, castles etc in Europe where you don't have to pay twice. Just a matter of policy.
@Pidalin3 жыл бұрын
@@Lepercurtidoo Yes, I agree, but this is one of the most touristic place in Czechia, you can expect that in such places. But I was very (positively) surprised in Poland, some places are completely free to visit. In Czechia if it's private property, you should expect 3m tall fences around it and maybe even machineguns, we are pretty much like Americans in this case. It's sad that some historical things are hidden in someone's garden and you can't visist it.

When visiting, we went to the castle twice. The first was the least expensive tour. Nice, but seriously, go for the full tour, including the chapel at the tower’s top. It’s amazing. And you don’t have to walk the hill, you can pay for a ride in a horse-drawn cart to the front gate. At least the carts were working seven years ago.
