Miguel is different; he injects himself with spliced spider DNA which gives him the superhuman strength and agility. However he doesn’t have a spider sense and the spider’s DNA gave him “vampire-like” spider fangs that have a paralyzing venom in them and he’s more aggressive and animalistic.

Man I watch a lot of reaction videos, you guys are ALWAYS catching details like it's nothing, that earth 42 on the console thingy flew right above my head in the cinema, props to you! Also for the miles/prowler, yes there isn't a clear motive, that crime-hardened Miles, dad died, city on fire and another Miles pops in pretending he's you, wouldn't you be a little suspect?

I don't believe Miguel's story either. There is a hole in it. If The Spot wasn't supposed to be created then why was he "supposed " to kill the Indian Captain in a cannon event when he shouldn't have been there. I think that will play out in the third movie. Just having the Spot as a placeholder for a villain to kill the Indian Captain holds little drama. There has to be more to it.

Miguel didn’t say the Spot wasn’t *supposed* to be created, he said he *wouldn’t* have been if Miles hadn’t been bitten. I also think Miguel doesn’t know the whole story. But I don’t think he’s being malicious. He truly believes he’s saving the most number of people by doing this.

@@Jabberwocky415 yeah i felt the same, his story checks out and his reaction to miles and trying to stop him from making the same mistake while knowing hes an anomaly... i dont understand why they insist miles is fully in the right compared to miguel even if he is a bit harsh with every solution he has, he has good reasons and personal experience plus the plot does tell us miles doesnt know as much about how the multiverse works compared to the spider squad(miguel) and they have reason to restrain him. Even if it works out in miles' favour in the end, they still had every reason to try to stop him based on the information they had. ill chalk it up to an emotional reaction and picking sides with their favourite (charismatic relatable miles over the harsh authoritarian miguel) also, if spot didnt exist, someone else would have killed the captain. its not cannon that spot kills him, just that he dies (as i understand it)

Really good movie but my one complaint or nitpick is that it feels incomplete. Watching both this and the third one back to back will be amazing. One other thing. I love the music during Gwen's segment in the beginning but its driving me nuts. It sounds so familiar to something in another movie I think but I cant remember which one.
