Gotta give it up to this show, the perfect balance of humor and true sentimentality is very tricky to pull off.

From my understanding: This was specifically a tribute to Frank Zappa since he was a huge fan of the show and had just passed away, it wasn't actually about TV's Frank even though contextually it is a bit confusing in that regard.
@StarryCactus Жыл бұрын
I know this is an 11 year old comment, but they do actually call this back when he leaves for real. Right at the end, after the bots read their goodbye letters and they cut over to Dr. F, he's sings this to himself. It's just a second or two so it's easy to miss. Have a great rest of the decade.

I saw this episode when it originally aired many years ago and I clearly remember this tribute! What happened to the very last scene after the song? I won't spoil it in case it's available somewhere else, but I'm disappointed that it's missing.

For those of you who want to know who this was a tribute for, other than TV's Frank, go find the MST3k episode Village of the Giants (There are at least 3 videos as of this writing on YT) and just head to the credits.
