Never really know what to do with Steiner’s myths like this. I suppose they are connected to higher truths but it’s hard to take it literally. Not sure if he meant it all literally or not. If he did, it takes a lot of trust to believe he was given this knowledge exclusively as a prophet. I take it all symbolically and it’s nice to ponder what it could mean in our immediate reality.

In his books he states he will not speak on what he does not know. In his collection of four books An outline of a occult science- Christianity as mystical fact- way of initiation- initiation and its results. He asks the reader to keep an open mind and remain open minded. He uses a microscope and germs as an example. Just because one cannot see germs doesn’t mean they don’t exist, but rather we need to develop the faculties to see them. He claims he developed and nurtured the faculties required to give us this information.

It doesn't sound like u were initiated, it's something that doesn't just come like that, it also has nothing to do with the dissociative experience u describe, maybe someone ruffied u with LSD. To even have a chance at initiation u must have taken introspection to the limit, u must have been seeking for a long time and not only seeking but thinking about reality on ur own terms, trying to explain reality without any other guide by with only intuition and inspiration. Steiner did speak of myths per se unless he was interpreting them. This lecture is describing actual multi dimensionality evolutionary phases and beings -from man upwards to advanced which he actually could see and interact with. This is his claim and each and take it as they wish. These beings do not have legs and arms like us and were never physical or organic. The fire spirits are also known archangels. It is said that there are 12 hierarchies active within our solar creation. It is important to grasp that Steiner and Rosicrucian cosmology is actually describing solar evolution not universal creation. Each solar system in the cosmos has simllar but unique evolutions.

In part when Steiner talks about the fire he is correct. Jesus promised to " baptize with fire" the day of pentecost his disciples were baptized with fire. Thus the integration of Christ into the soul is indeed this baptism of fire. This baptism is not automatically given due to some religious or occult ritual . All 'truths' like this are metaphor. All of us, have always been born, with everything we need, to fulfill ourselves. The experience cannot be put into words, therefore a story is formulated to try and explain it, and to make sure keys are provided to people later down the line, if they want to follow 'steps'. Mary is derived from the Hebrew Miriam. Miriam of Nazareth was Yehoshua/Yeshua/Jesus' mother. I like steiner and his symbolic theosophiv worldview. True there are some more open for a more spiritual aspect of their living experience. How ever as steiner in my opinion, not discussing symbolic Vs scientific "trueness." Has a beatifull perseption of existance. I think Jesus spoke rather clearly regarding himself (& humanity) as son of man; then through anointing of the Holy Spirit, a Christened one, a Christ by title, Son of God, which all may accomplish. The modern Western church however prefers to make him an object of worship and his atonement (at-one-ment) with God unobtainable by we the followers. The Bible seems to me to be about 5 featured figures... historical figures.. 3 men, and 2 women... 1 woman who's presence is felt occasionally, but remains more peripheral... then a man and woman, both who play critical roles... but remain mostly out of the center spotlight... The woman is desired by all three men at some point, but perhaps hated by them all at some point. Sometimes the woman forms a lover core triangle between the two primary men... The man is part of the core... of three men, he supports the two primary men... though he has to make choices as when the central duo become nemesis. The Duo, like the core of three men, are father and son, nephew and uncle, brothers, trusted allies and loathed enemies. Also, the men are sometimes portrayed women... One rarely and in very limited sense... the other is regularly presented as women.... sometimes just being one reference to a female name, other times being of much more substance.... He is Eve.... These 5 people are the central cast of the Bible from Genesis through Revelation....
