Yep, that's how I accidentally poisoned a "librarian" in oblivion. I dropped a poison apple because I didn't want to eat it, and it was taking up space in my inventory. I came back later, and she was lying dead on the floor where the apple was.

I used a mod that made bittercup follow me and I made her wait at my megaton home. I was a cannibal so I filled my fridge with nothing but strange meat and whiskey. Every time I enter the house I see her eating and drinking out of my fridge and the supply actually lowers.

How to steal in Fallout: 1. Recon the room 2. Pick up the item you want to steal and drop it in a corner where no NPCs can see you. 3. Crouch to make sure no NPCs can actually see you 4. Repeat step 2 for any additional items 5. Steal.

I can't remember which exact vegetable but if you pick up one of them another exact one will immediately be in it's place. Meaning that someone accidentally placed two in each other during development. Yes this is probably quite a useless fact but now you know

I wonder about a few ways on taking the vegetables without ever getting caught. I just take everything in sight and run in Fallout 3, but I never really got to Rivet City at all because I never finished the game, so I’m not sure if that method would work there.

Just pick them up ( if its on a console its right bumper.. And I think on PC its the X or Z or C button) and move them to a dark corner of the room and crouch. If you are hidden you can press the E ( pc) or action button on console and put them in your inventory

@@SittingChungus I first played Fallout 3 for a few months, but I wasn’t following the main storyline because I immediately forgot about it when I exited the vault😅. I was just shooting random merchants and destroyed Megaton and even got to the max level (without DLC) by using the Megaton XP glitch with scrap metal before destroying Megaton. I collected ears more than I played the actual storyline💀. I eventually got bored of the game and forgot the main story questline, but now that it’s mentioned again, I might play Fallout 3 more often and perhaps get to Rivet City soon.

Just add them to your inventory with console commands, it's effectively duplicates without the need to steal. It's not like it has a high value aside from PERSONAL VALUE in game anyway.
