A puzzle with your images - a real sign of John's Arbon's appreciation of your work. Cross-stitch patterns or even puzzles might be an addition to your shop one day.

I am new to your series and am enjoying that you share many different crafts/art processes. I just purchased the mushroom sock pattern and like it so much I bought a second for a friend! 😊 Glad to have found you! 👋🏼

very inspiring how you looked at your misadventure as a way to try a new craft and as always, I really enjoyed seeing your processes. Plus, seeing you and Jack out on the land - what river or stream is that? The water looks so pure and clear - I think the colors there are ingrained in your soul!

Ouch! Glad your finger is healing. Thank goodness for crafts we can do one-handed. I recently broke my wrist, so no knitting for me at the moment either. Instead, I'm trying watercolor and having so much fun with it. Maybe I should give cross stitch a try, too!

Oh my Katie! Your poor finger. I've sewed into my fingernail but was able to back out the needle. Nothing compared to what happened to you. Feel better soon. I love your podcasts and find them so relaxing when I'm feeling stressed. I love little Jack. What kind of dog is he? 😊❤

Sorry to hear about your finger Katie, but am loving your crafts today❤️ I felt that when you slipped on your walk, I’ve done it a few times on Dartmoor ! Kits would be great, I love your work so much. Your jumper you are wearing makes me want to knit it so much, but I still haven’t started the woodland cardi . I have the kit from John Arbon, I think it’s the steeking that is frightening me lol. Could you tell me the name of the jumper please, I’ve forgotten? Thank you another lovely vlog, so good for well-being and mental health for me and hopefully lots of other crafters. Take care xx

My word, Katie. This sounds really traumatic. I, myself have medical trauma, ptsd. Whenever I go to surgeries, even hospital visits, I get really afraid. I've been given some medicine to help me to relax before any procedures. I so happy and grateful that the last group of medical people helped you and were so understanding of your situation. I'm glad you're on the mend. Love your artistry.

O M Ds... so glad your finger is ok and healing well. It must've been so traumatic.... Loving the frog theme and just want to say thanks for sharing your change of heart and recreating the painted frog scene into a felt picture. Really clever. Jack seems to be growing more and more grey hair. As usual he is just adorable. Take care Katie. 😊

So sorry to hear about your accident. I hope it heals really quickly with no permanent problems. I do lots of cross stitch and have often thought I’d like to do some of your lovely illustrations. I do hope you go ahead with it. Also your appliqué is looking so good. Would you consider doing little kits. I’d really like to buy some of each, both cross stitch and appliqué designs if you do create them. Blessings Gail.🙋🏼♀️🇦🇺

Firstly, I wish you a complete and as painless of a healing as possible for your injury. Secondly I love the idea of your artwork as a jigsaw puzzle! 🎉 Personally I think your sheep tea towel would make a delightful puzzle also. ❤ Kudos to you for finding other outlets for your creativity-I’m struggling with arthritis in my dominant hand and am having trouble finding other things to do from my knitting & crochet.

I'm so sorry to hear about what you went through with your sewing related injury. On top of the trauma, it's scary because those of us who use our hands for crafty stuff, know how an injury like that can put a huge crimp in our creative endeavors. But those of us who are poly-amorous crafters, have lots of options and ways to entertain ourselves! I love seeing how you envision past projects into new creations I look forward to seeing how your felt applique progresses. I love it so far.

That is very scary what happened to your finger, thankfully it wasn’t worse! I too am waylaid from knitting as I broke both wrists in January and I’m not back to 100% mobility or strength yet. I have however picked up cross stitch again as my right hand is able to do much more than my left at this point. Like you I’m happy to have a craft that I’m able to manage and enjoy! I’d love to see your work in digital cross stitch! I can imagine a lot of your followers would as well. Take care and don’t push yourself too much after your bandages come off. Slow and steady is a good motto for healing. 💕

Katie, your cross stitch, painting and wool appliqué could never be disappointing to us! You are so wonderfully talented in everything you do. As someone who also does wool appliqué, it was inspiring to see your tiny perfect stitches. I can see that I need to slow down and stitch more carefully! I’m so sorry your sewing machine went on the attack. How awful to have to go through 3 days before getting the surgery. I’m hoping for a back to normal outcome for you. Meanwhile, Jack is certainly your emotional support being. So much love there between you. Also, you and Jack please be careful on those slippery rocks! There was a lot of cringing going on here as I was watching! I hope neither of you got hurt. ❤ 🐶

Oh dearsies Katie - you have been in the wars! I think the shock of an accident like that is awful 😣 but I’m so pleased that you’re on the mend and able to see it in a positive light!! You’re right about your cross stitch being a memory of the time - maybe you should hang it close to your sewing machine as a reminder ?

I'm sorry you injured yourself Katie, but am glad you got the help you needed and are now healing. I live in Australia and as a person living with multiple comorditities I am always grateful for the health care system we have here as well! When I first started getting sick it took the doctors 8 years before they could give me a probable diagnosis. This time was spent weekly seeing multiple doctors, being in hospital and having multitudes of tests. With all the time I spent in waiting rooms, I decided to knit a Lizard Ridge Blanket to turn what was a very traumatic, unpleasant 8 years, into something productive, positive and useful. I do have one naughty thing to report about my blanket though......I still haven't sewn all the squares together or finished the border all these years later! I really must get on with it. We can't rush these things though can we! 😂

Oh Katie, you poor thing. What an horrific story, thanks for the warning, and I really hope you’re now fully recovered. Your cross stitch is beautiful, prefer your colour choice to the original. Thank you for brightening another rainy day in South Wales!

Hi Katie!! You mentioned you're using calligraphy inks for your paintings; are they acrylic inks like the Daler-Rowney ones? I've been making foray into inking with cartridge pens and coloring with markers and I've been paying a great deal of attention to which brands of ink are more and less bleedproof. I've been enjoying using the Herbin inks, which are definitely not entirely water or alcohol-proof, but I like the effect they give. Anyway, just curious, since my calligraphy inks are definitely not waterproof!
