GREAT episode. These kids are so much more aware while living in the moment which brings raw emotion and that is good for them. Don't believe that I was quite that aware or living in the moment hence less introspective during my youth wrestling days. That didn't come for me till junior high but my coaching and parental support was not quite as involved like you have surrounding this young men. Kudos to Team Dynamic... wresters, staff and parents!

The kid that lost in double overtime, etc. Wow!! I give him props. Obviously winning would have been nice but this is also why it is important to understand the rules of your sport. Lesson learned, I hope. Jayson, these kids in my humble opinion are so lucky to have you as their coach. I know a good coach when I see one. BTW, I wrestled when I was in high school. I won my district as a rookie wrestler and qualified for the state tournament and as the favorite to win my weight, 132. I didnt make it to state because I goofed up on my academics and lost my eligibility. I never wrestled my Senior year. I love the passion from these kids and that is a reflection of Jason's coaching. Keep up the great work and the best of luck to the kids in their next match.

Here in Russia, too, there is such grappling for many participants and intense practice is needed to dive into the fight. Many techniques are known to defend oneself against the opponent first, but it is not a joke to fight because there is often K.O. and crippled but it's also a field to represent the country and reach the final and have to compete with other foreign countries

No, he does not have any progative for abusing his kid. However, this is a reality show. Anything seen on it cannot be taken at face value. For that reason and that reason alone, we can go easier on the ignorant statements made by the parent and the host.
@JasonLayton2 жыл бұрын
What ignorant statements did the host make?
@99xanthan9911 ай бұрын
@@JasonLayton There are others but the comment about the parent having a prerogative is ignorant. The parent is a caretaker of a child, not the owner. Society recognizes this. This is why there are laws preventing child abuse and neglect. This parent is either playing to the camera or is boosting his own weak EGO by battering down his child's. I sincerely hope it is the former. I apologize for taking a year to answer. I came across this video again and found my comment with the question. I would like to also point out that calling out ignorant statements is not the same thing as calling a person ignorant. Channels I don't like get flagged as do not recommend. Every time this one posts a video, I get an email telling me to check it out.
@JasonLayton11 ай бұрын
@@99xanthan99 You still didn't answer. What ignorant statement did the host make?
@JasonLayton11 ай бұрын
@@99xanthan99 Ah, I see, you think that parent doesn't have their own prerogative as to how they train their children to become men. I simply disagree and we can leave it at that I guess.
@99xanthan9911 ай бұрын
@@JasonLayton I think I might have mistaken the coach for the host. It was the prerogative comment the coach made @(about)6:40 that I was basing as my single point. I avoided the parent's comments entirely. I wouldn't have done so if I thought the parent was emotionally abusing the kid. I would have been all over him. The kid seems to react to the parent's comments with only mild confusion. It suggest, to me, they have a communication style that is both frank and fun and works well for both of them and the dad is dialing it up notch when in public. The kid seems uncomfortable with it but I don't think it bothers him. He seems like someone who will, at least, try to communicate his feelings on any issue.
@jacobsparry85252 жыл бұрын
And we don’t have to like it. Misgendering your boy is wrong, not because it is misgendering, but because it is embarrassing to the kid and the father is setting an example by acting more immature than his kid is.

As an uber-lib I think I'm supposed to be pissed at this dad for calling his son a "sissy". But I'm not. I may not like his choice of words or manner of parenting. But it was far from abusive or even abusive adjacent. I see an engage dad wanting his son to meet his challenges head on and expect the best from himself. It's obvious his goal was to motivate and not belittle. If you cannot see that cause you're all hung up on a word then you're not "woke", you're just a douche
