Someone could park an RV on my property as I have a well, electrical, and septic. There used to be a mobile home there, the owner died and the mobile home was moved out. I really never thought about it until watching these videos.

The government in many local areas and states try to make it illegal to own property if the person is not planning on building a house they can collect tax on there. I love how people like here are having a great time living the RV lifestyle. I love how they now call it an RV property. Very cool.

In va it doesn't matter cause property tax on your trailer is probably more than real estate tax on a home LOL. You ain't gonna get away with it here.

We bought 7 acres at The Woodlands. We are planning to build an Amish Cabin to live in permanently, and also 2 RV spots for friends and family to visit. As soon as we sell our home in NM, we will be there to develop our piece of property, we are calling Serenity Ridge.

I chose Florida (Taylor County) where I have 1 acre with 3 RV sites developed. I love the freedom of having it but like you guys, I stay on the road most of the time. It's nice having a home base.

We recently started following you guys and I love your channel. We purchased property east of Nashville about. a year and a half ago as our home base. We finally left Washington State in June and are currently here at our property. We originally grew up in Tennessee and it is great to finally be back home!

I'm nervous and excited. I just signed up to go look at properties in the Woodlands at Buffalo River in early February 2023. Your KZbin videos are how I found out about the land there and I appreciate all the information you have posted. Thanks!

We just bought 10 acres in ShowLow AZ. Love it. Get ready to install septic, then the well. We will make our own electric with solar. I understand the call to have your own land. We are retired and looking forward to the build.

comment: Very tempting to "own a piece of the rock" but the question is always, Where? So many great locations.

We bought a 1.4 acre parcel with electric and water on site up in the Thousand Islands region of NY last spring. Added a gravel pad and storage building. Best decision for us. Quiet peaceful area within minutes of the St Lawrence seaway.

A few years ago we decided we loved going up to the Baldwin MI area with our side x sides. So we found a beautiful wooded 2 1/2 acres just added another 1 1/2 acres next to us. We have put 6 full hook up camping site in for ourselves and our family to come up and use when they want. Every holiday is a blast with friends & family.

It is nice that you found such wonderful place I may look for acreage out west, once in the Rv and have the $$ to invest, the state and the Taxes will be a majot factor, plus access to fishing water and a flat bottom to fly fish from

I have been looking for just 1 to 2 acres , we are retired and I have heart and vascular issues . I told my husband 5 years ago, I want to die in Tennessee. so we have sold our primary home. bought an RV ans now on the search for property. I love the ideas of the woodlands ! so if there is anyway to find someone that wants to sell just an acre or two , I would love it

Keep the house. But some property. These RV lots are like 5-10 times more than a regular piece of property.

You two are awesome! Love your content. Would you be willing to share some of the costs associated with developing your lot in the Woodlands? We are looking at one just down the road from you, and want to clear an acre or two, and set up 3-4 full hookup sites. Thanks in advance.

Hi Mike & Jen, I’ve enjoyed watching y’all’s episodes and I’m also interested in the idea of buying land. I know that you have said the cost of lots in Tennessee and out west, but you don’t mention the price for the properties in Florida, particularly Gulf Mist Landing. While these lots start at just a 1/2 acre and go up to larger amounts, you don’t mention the cost of there “base 1/2 acre lots” is there a reason why? Can you tell me the price?

How do you get power onto a piece of property? Obviously the Utility company is interested if they can make a profit. How much for a septic system? I realize the location alters the response, but many of us crave a little more advanced info. We are happy full timers outside of Crescent City. Retired in a Grand Design Fiver.. Thanks.

Developing any property is a bit of an expense... I guess one needs to look at the BiG Picture and figure its worth down the road. For "nomad" RVers especially... having a home base if health issues arise, etc.. or if you just need to stop and rest, plant a garden, whatever, could be a life saver. There is a time for every season... so kind of hard to picture oneself still hooking up, HAVING to move along when you're 85 years old! LOL Always nice to have OPTIONS.
@joeschmoe7951
@joeschmoe7951 Жыл бұрын
Well in this case its a whole lot of development there, not just their lot out in the middle of nowhere. Plus septic is never the issue cause millions of people don't have city water, but use septic tanks. Power would be the issue and it seems like there is enough development in that area to make it happen.
