Unironically my favorite part of the whole playthrough is when they knuckles glitch over the wall, walk around the unrendered town, only to accidentally take the correct path and render the town into existence. Their genuine shock is extremely relatable. A close second is, "If only I could walk faster..."

It still breaks my heart to see all that really good concept art in the end credits for this game. It’s like they’re trying so hard to tell us “look what it could’ve been. Look how hard we tried. We wanted to make something cool, but they FUCKED us”. Honestly the game would have probably been mediocre at best even if it were cooked properly with it’s bad writing, questionable character designs, and boring gameplay (so like every Sonic game), but at least it would’ve been better than the dumpster fire it was. I dunno I just really love concept art, and they put it there for a reason.

Now I'm imagining a sonic boom episode were they need ti open a door like in the game and sonic says "knuckles you can sit this out" so knuckles says "ok I'll wait for you on the other side of this big door" and just starts jumping on thin air to get to the other side and evrobody just stares in confusion like "wtf?"
