What do you think about a K18 pre-treatment before perming hair that has been previously permed? Or would it be better used as a between perm treatment?

Hi there. I would use a pre curl treatment just before you apply the curlers. Spray only on the previously permed hair.

@@ClassichairdesignCa What product would you use to prevent the permed hair being permed again when getting the roots permed, to prevent damage to the lengths of the hair, if they are still curly enough? I really miss my perm which I had for about 5 years! But this was the problem which finally meant I had to say goodbye to my perm because I just couldn’t face peeling it another time because of the damage. If there was a way to prevent this and only perm the roots to match the rest of the hair, this would totally solve the problem! Many thanks!!

Hi Katy, to answer your question, you need to use a light cream conditioner on the ends that you don’t want to re-perm. It is a little tricky to wind because the hair becomes slippery but don’t worry, it doesn’t have to be wound perfectly because you are not applying any perm solution to that portion. Be sure to tune in to our newest video coming up “The Guide To Getting The Perfect Piggyback Perm” The winding of this perm is very similar to a root perm.

Can you use product right after a fresh perm? Or do you have to avoid putting anything in it for the 48-72 hours you can’t get it wet?

No, the humidity will no ruin your perm but try to avoid getting hair soaked. Do not wash or apply products for 48. Your stylist will apply the appropriate products after perming

@@ClassichairdesignCa can I ask your advice? 😭 I got a perm done at a very reputable salon today but the hair dresser brushed through my perm with a wide tooth comb but it dried totally frizzy - will this be what my perm looks like after I wash it I’m a few days? Will it set this way?

@@Lunacyfringe01 Hi, you can use a fine mist spray bottle to slightly wet the perm to help spring back the curls. Hopefully improper finishing caused the frizz and not the procedure!
