Guessing rounds still disappear past 3000m

No..I've landed rounds at 3.5k. It's not nearly as accurate as at 1500m though

We were testing ranges a couple nights ago. Gun is super accurate to 2km. Still good up to 2500m and can still hit targets at 2800m, but not as accurate. At 2900m the accuracy is almost not there, but we were still hit targets, just took more rounds.

Wondering how that stacks up against reality, the spread of the rounds look a little wider in the various 64 footage I have seen from Afghanistan and Iraq etc ?

@@PhantomMark I could very much be wrong but I'm pretty sure a lot of the engagements that we see from Iraq and Afghanistan are in excess of 3,000 m if not more. So make sense that the dispersion is a lot higher, but like I said I could very much be wrong and all the engagements could be super close in and I'm just an idiot

@@PhantomMark I think Kyle is correct. I just watched a couple and timed the rounds from fire to impact. The round velocity is 805 m/s and most of those videos it takes around 3-4 seconds, so 2400-3000m.

Hi Casmo I don't know if youre allowed to speak about this but, I saw another comment (who claims to do maintenance on these and did 300 sim hours) about how the apache flight model doesn't feel accurate and that the fly by wire? I dont know what its called on helis sorry. Would automatically correct aircraft yaw as well. What do you think? And is that possible to automatically correct yaw?

Well, he who does maintenance on the aircraft is probably not in a position to speak about how it flies. Just like I wouldn’t presume to speak about how to do maintenance on it. No the Apache is not fly by wire except in an emergency status when the Back Up Control System (BUCS) is active.

If you can’t use it with that 43 second example then you shouldn’t play DCS. it’s literally that easy.

Hammer 1-1 should not stop with DCS maybe he is just a brand new dcs player who needs help. Not everyone has your experience. That said, thank you for the high end content on your channel.
