It's no coincidence that the best Christmas movie (Die Hard) and the second best Christmas movie (Lethal Weapon) both featured the Beretta 92. It would have been a hat trick if Kevin carried one in Home Alone. Oh, well...

Very well said. I concur 100%. Although, Lethal Weapon has the best opening sequence for a Christmas movie and one the best period. And unlike Die Hard, the main character in Lethal Weapon actually has a positive and lasting Christmas transition. Holly is the only character in Die Hard that is actually experiencing a Christmas story (she comes to discover that her family is more important than her career), but the franchise throws that out in Die Hard 3. Riggs has a lasting transition (realizing that his life is worth living and learning to forgive himself for the death of his wife), that lasts the entire franchise. He's even a family man by the time it wraps up. So... It's arguable that LW is actually MORE of a Christmas movie.

@@MumrikDK In some ways, it's harder to be a gun enthusiast and watch action movies, because you tend to spot stupid, unworkable, and outright impossible things that actors do with guns, not to mention things they just do badly or wrong. It always sours a movie for me a little when someone gets 40 shots out of a 15+1 handgun, or 200 out of a 30rd mag, and I hate seeing an actor tip a handgun up at a 30-degree angle when shooting at a bad guy who is directly in front of him. The absolute WORST thing, though, is hearing those gigantic Clunk-CLUNK! Foley sounds three or four times (usually when the actor's hands are nowhere near the weapon's charging system) before someone shoots. Makes me cringe in annoyance every time, even in a movie I love (like Stargate). Only slightly less annoying is the old "CLICK! Ha! The bad guy fooled you into thinking he was going to kill you but the chamber of his pistol was empty! Idiot!" (like in Die Hard 2). No bad guy as murderous as a movie bad guy would carry a weapon with no round chambered.

Actions always quicker than reaction I highly doubt the fake security guard would have been capable of shooting john based on the time table laid out in your video (amazing work talent and dedication thank you for taking this time to make this!!) Roughly 1 second is required for the brain to determine something has occurred and then yet another full second to begin the reaction this being 3 seconds at most it possibly could have been close and if you look it actually was the mp5 was on it's merry way up to meet the cowboy yet taking into consideration 3 other factors the two thieves had no idea john was actually armed and the laughter would have actually caused the endorphin release for happiness as well as laughter and having a seizure under an MRI are identical meaning this affects aspects of body control and cognition temporarily. . And third and less meaningful is the fact the guard would have been startled by the unexpected gunfire much the same as anyone who served in law enforcement or military would causing a momentary lapse in response time.. I am a disabled combat veteran from Iraq Ramadi 2007-2009 and love this channel thanks again and keep up the great content merry Christmas HO-HO-HO

Plus, I always had assumed that the fake security guard, after being told "this one is mine" lost focus on John and was watching Holly, to see her reaction to her husband's death. Possibly because he has a sadistic side. He was only half paying attention to John, he was focusing on Hans, expecting him to shoot, and was shocked when he saw movement out of the corner of his eye, followed shortly there after by gunfire and Hans is hit. He wasn't like a shooter anticipating a "go" signal to react in a fraction of second.

Beretta's open top slide design is often mentioned as a feature that increases ejection reliability. However, most cases of ejection failure involve the casing being caught between the breech face and the chamber end of the barrel. So, it only helps slightly when the ejection failure has anything to do with the wall of the slide on the left side.

One of my 9’s is a Taurus PT-92 which is a Beretta clone. It’s one of my favorites. It’s the “tank” of 9mm’s. Main difference is mine has an ambi safety and it’s 17+1

I used the Steyr when I was in the New Zealand Army from 1998 - 2002. It was the standard infantry rifle used at that time. It has since been replaced by the MARS-L rifle which is a lot like the M16. The Australian Army (not to be confused with Austrian) still uses the Steyr. They are made under licence at Thales Lithgow Arms in Lithgow, New South Wales, Australia. Thales has made a modified version of it for use by the Australian Army as the EF88 AusSteyr. They also export it as the F90 Steyr. However, the weapon of choice for the elite SAS Regiment is the M4 carbine.

To all of you who love MP5s and want one...just get a CZ Scorpion EVO. Same thing for a fraction of the price. You’re welcome.
@immikeurnot6 жыл бұрын
It's not the same as the MP5. It's better. It's not that hard to be better than the MP5... you just have to deliver smooth shooting (MP5 has it) with ergonomics (MP5 sorely lacks).
@therideneverends16976 жыл бұрын
@@immikeurnot I mean the MP5 is like what neat 50 years old at this point? i would be abolutely shocked if noone could come up with something better by now. The MP5 has the problem if being overly complex for complexity's sake, the whole roller delay blowback thing is just unnecessary for a 9mm and adds unneeded cost.
@GusFogle6 жыл бұрын
That's absolute and utter nonsense. The CZ Scorpion EVO is not in any capacity the same thing as an MP5. I've had 2 Scorpions, one in a pistol configuration run with a brace, and the carbine version. Both are well made guns, but are no substitute for a well made clone- DJ Getz, MKE, etc. It's nutty to suggest the Scorpion is a smoother shooting gun than an MP5 as well, the Scorpion is better compared to the UMP if anything- bulky, lots of injection molded polymer, direct blowback with a huge ass bolt hammering back and forth with every shot is not smooth at all. The MP5 is slimmer, slicker, has extremely smooth recoil, and enough weight for you to realize you aren't holding a toy. I suspect many of the naysayers simply can't afford an MP5 and reassure themselves the Scorpion is just as good because it's in their price range and they were too cheap to save up for what they actually wanted. I made that mistake and got burned TWICE. If I'd known what I do now, I would never have spent the money on a Scorpion and instead put the cash down on one good MP5 clone.
@therideneverends16976 жыл бұрын
@@GusFogle I take it more the other way, you wanted a MP5, you had it dead set in your mind you wanted an MP5, someone could have handed you anything and you still would have wanted a MP5. Its the same thing we see in the guitar world, "headstock fever" as i call it. if you want a gibson or a fender you will keep buying guitars untill you get one. In realistic terms the EVO is a better gun since it has a modern bolt hold open and AR style release and the injection molded polymer is a far better material than steel for a firearm body. But if you want an MP5 you want a MP5, and thats A+ ok aslong as you acknowledge you want it because you want it and dont dilute yourself into thinking its anything more than a kind of usefull PCC
@GusFogle6 жыл бұрын
@@therideneverends1697 The only thing I diluted myself about initially was that I could buy a cheaper substitute for the gun that I really wanted and be satisfied, so in that aspect you're right about me being dead-set. The age of subguns is a by gone era in any case, so one being more "useful" than another is sort of irrelevant honestly. It's perfectly fine for people to want a gun just cause they like it, not for it's utility as a super ergonomic combat weapon. I think what got me triggered was the OP's statement that if you want an MP5 you should just save your money and get a Scorpion- cause I did exactly that and regretted it.
