Aquascaping is beautifully global. An American can appreciate an Indian artist working in a Hungarian studio, inspired by a Japanese mentor. There’s something universal about it, the joy of seeing nature through an artistic lense.

This is amazing because, if you think about it, many of our beloved fish & plant species are FROM India!! Various loaches, botias, gouramis, cryptocoryne, laganandra…what else?! So many more. I think of the countless species of plants & fish we haven’t even been exposed to from the Subcontinent...simple ‘weeds’ growing on the edges of creeks and rivers, that would make excellent aquascaping specimens.

India is mad underrated when it comes to aquascaping culture . And they do it so economically and naturally. I’ve seen tanks that rarely get water changes 4-5 times a year and looks pristine. Would give any competitive tanks a run for their money ! Makes me mad sometimes, I look like a clown doing all these technical things !

Indian culture seems like it does everything methodically and in a beautifully meditative, yogic way. If that makes sense. I’ve practiced yoga for seven years and I also play Hindustani/Carnatic violin…There are all these logical steps to each process involved... Layer upon layer. This applies to everything from yoga practice to Indian music performances, to the recipes, cooking, Ayurveda... And aquascaping!! I love it.

Economy is the main reason behind it, you don't often see people in India spend much for aquarium, that's why I think this hobby sort of underrated in India, people think twice before spending a penny for aquarium while they have flagship phones..

Its a beautiful aquascape. I am also from India. I love watching aquascaping videos and want to do my own aquascape but the only thing that is stopping me is that this hobby is very expensive to do.

@justin94431
@justin94431 2 ай бұрын
It's not expensive.. you just need to do research you'll figure out a way to do it on budget but it's all depends on how you see it, personally I don't mind spending like 30k for a tank but some consider that as expensive
@MujtabaSharif
@MujtabaSharif 2 ай бұрын
Yes expense is subjective but for a tank that size only one fx6 filter will be 30k. Then there are 4 4ft chihiros lights

To be frank, the scape turned out mediocre. Maybe some techniques were useful, but the scape itself is not a "head turner". His philosophy is nice to hear and his rich experience with Amano san is unrivaled. Thank you Adip and greenaqua.
