hello i am sorry it took me forever but i did it
ive got a bunch of other ideas, not all of them ned-based mostly cause i love what the guys are doing on their own! it's become so clear now just how much ned was holding them back and i wanna celebrate the guys and all the things they'll do in the future :)
that being said, i love drama and being petty. so if i have more ned ideas. im gonna do them. i could write a thesis paper on all the aspects of what happened but thats not as funny as the bs i do here so enjoy my snarky commentary on my would-be citations :)
thanks for sticking around :) love you guys!!
all footage belongs to ‪@tryguys‬ , nothing but love to them and their staff as they head into the new year and their much deserved month off.

Yessssss! My first thought when I heard that Ned was a vile, cheating, bastard and no longer part of the try guys, I honestly was like “okay but can we still have Ariel as a try wife?” Like I know that would probably be super awkward and kinda traumatic for her right now. But I want her as a try wife so bad still!

This is just me but.... I think Neds stake in the company as part owner should have been transferred to Ariel upon his firing. Nothing says F.U. more than your former buddies bringing your wife in as a boss while throwing you in the trash. I hate how Ned says "consensual workplace relationship" when he was the head of HR which clearly created a power imbalance.. hard to get consent when you're someone's boss
@eleanorcooke7136

Dude, she had a fiance that shed been in a very long-term relationship with. She knew exactly what she was doing. You're making it out like it's a teacher and a minor student. Or a ceo and a janitor. When really, the better example would be an employee dating a manager from a different division, as he was not a direct supervisor. I'm not saying he's innocent of cheating, as he very much isn't, but this abusing authority nonsense is just pure cap. If they worked at Home Depot, for example, the comparison would be if she was in the garden centre and dating the manager of the tool rental section. Sure, he's higher up in management, but they are not in the same vertical hierarchy. Now, if there'd been an hr issue and he sided with her or sided against her, then you could claim an abuse of power, but I've heard no suggestions of the kind. I suspect the real truth is that the 3 Amigos realized it'd be a great way to go from being 1/4 of the main cast to being 1/3 of the cast, thus meaning they would get a far larger share of the profits. But I'm sure everyone will disagree with that last point as everyone is eating up what the remaining try guys are saying, and not even considering if there were motives behind the scenes.

Not that I blame other youtubers for avoiding talking about their canceled former "coworkers" (can't think of a better word), but it's refreshing to see them be so openly shady without it being overwhelmingly vitriolic. Of course, that approach wouldn't work in every case, but it's nice that they're able to process all this so openly.

Everyone is commenting on how Ned wasn't a big loss, how the guys have clearly moved on and feel more free and unburdened, etc. And I agree! But it's also important to keep in mind just how huge of a betrayal this was for them. They may have had issues with Ned even before the scandal, but remember, Ned was still their friend, and someone they worked with for a long time who they thought they could trust. I love how they're making it their mission to bounce back and come back better than ever, but this wasn't some "oh well, too bad about Ned, now then let's move on." This was devastating to them, and I don't ever want to take for granted how painful this has been for Eugene, Zac, and Keith, despite Ned's departure ultimately being for the better.

To be fair, he had a few other dimensions to him that were revealed if you looked closely. He was weirdly competitive with Eugene, sometimes to the point of thinly-veiled hostility. He was not as loving or interested in his pet as the other try guys. Even though he was the only one particularly interested in fatherhood, he had the hardest time in the Father’s Day episode where they had to watch toddlers. He went to an Ivy League and felt that this made him “the smart one” even though he makes objectively terrible choices. He had a personality, it just wasn’t a very good one and that’s why he relied so much on Ariel to seem interesting 😂.

Before the cheating with an employee news broke out I used to always feel bad for Ned. It seemed like he was super insecure (I mean to be fair all of the guys had/have their own insecurities just like every other person and it has been really nice to see them embrace and express themselves). And felt happy for him because sometimes it felt like he was finally exploring his feminine side, etc. But in the only couple of videos from before that I've been able to watch that include him (compilations and the one about Eugene's closet) it's painfully obvious that he was just repeating what the other guys said. Like an echo. Maybe he resented them. Envy could possibly hinder creativity. (Though , idk, maybe his jokes didn't make the final cuts). Edited to add: Also, Ned always stroke me as having two distinct "modes" and I'm sure a lot of people would agree. The one who fitted into negative stereotypes about spoiled frat boys and arrogant privileged people. And the "nerdy family man". I hope he was at least being honest about being a nerdy family man during his first years on YT. Though, yes, both "modes" were very obviously exaggerated personas.

"no one" Me, I'm the one who'll make you feel bad, because you're part of the problem. People in 30s Germany loved and followed Hitler, which helped him rise to power and dominate Europe. By supporting bad people and accepting toxic behavior (which lets be honest, Ned was filled with in the episodes he appeared in), you make the problem worse.

@@disneymore7941 Not everyone is great at spotting red flags or toxic behaviors, and even the Try Guys themselves thought he was a good person before. Chill out, Godwin's Law

@@disneymore7941 lmao "If you liked Ned before he was outed as a cheater than you're basically a Nazi." What the actual hell dude. Also this is super disrespectful to people who died in WWII and the Holocaust, so maybe find a less dramatic analogy, sheesh.

@@GoddoDoggo Ned was always toxic. And it's been revealed behind the scenes he's a bit of a dictator. No, it's not disrespectful. It's fitting. He's a wannabe dictator who got caught.

@@GoddoDoggo it's very easy to spot the red flags if you actually watched the vids. I didn't say you're a Nazi, I'm just saying you accepted his behavior as it was.

i’m a strong believer in the fact that n’s whole “my wife” shtick was to cover up what was going on at the time.

Or the cause of it. Keeping up the lie so much, made his mind glitch out, lose self control, and try to reconnect with his true self. Not enough to be non-culpable though. Plus, the lie was self made.
