Yessssss! My first thought when I heard that Ned was a vile, cheating, bastard and no longer part of the try guys, I honestly was like “okay but can we still have Ariel as a try wife?” Like I know that would probably be super awkward and kinda traumatic for her right now. Dude, she had a fiance that shed been in a very long-term relationship with. She knew exactly what she was doing. You're making it out like it's a teacher and a minor student. Or a ceo and a janitor. When really, the better example would be an employee dating a manager from a different division, as he was not a direct supervisor. I'm not saying he's innocent of cheating, as he very much isn't, but this abusing authority nonsense is just pure cap. If they worked at Home Depot, for example, the comparison would be if she was in the garden centre and dating the manager of the tool rental section. Sure, he's higher up in management, but they are not in the same vertical hierarchy. Now, if there'd been an hr issue and he sided with her or sided against her, then you could claim an abuse of power, but I've heard no suggestions of the kind. I suspect the real truth is that the 3 Amigos realized it'd be a great way to go from being 1/4 of the main cast to being 1/3 of the cast, thus meaning they would get a far larger share of the profits. But I'm sure everyone will disagree with that last point as everyone is eating up what the remaining try guys are saying, and not even considering if there were motives behind the scenes.

@@MintySomething Same! For me personally in addition to just finding his voice to be kind of annoying I really didn't like the way he talked about Ariel and their relationship. His whole "my wife" bit came across as he viewed her as a possession not a partner. Everyone is commenting on how Ned wasn't a big loss, how the guys have clearly moved on and feel more free and unburdened, etc. And I agree! But it's also important to keep in mind just how huge of a betrayal this was for them. They may have had issues with Ned even before the scandal, but remember, Ned was still their friend, and someone they worked with for a long time who they thought they could trust. I love how they're making it their mission to bounce back and come back better than ever, but this wasn't some "oh well, too bad about Ned, now then let's move on." This was devastating to them, and I don't ever want to take for granted how painful this has been for Eugene, Zac, and Keith, despite Ned's departure ultimately being for the better.

To be fair, he had a few other dimensions to him that were revealed if you looked closely. He was weirdly competitive with Eugene, sometimes to the point of thinly-veiled hostility. He was not as loving or interested in his pet as the other try guys. Even though he was the only one particularly interested in fatherhood, he had the hardest time in the Father’s Day episode where they had to watch toddlers. He went to an Ivy League and felt that this made him “the smart one” even though he makes objectively terrible choices. He had a personality, it just wasn’t a very good one and that’s why he relied so much on Ariel to seem interesting 😂.

Like their content now seems so much more relaxed; less focused on what is popular or would get a lot of views and more on having fun and being themselves. And especially with Zach's comment about how Ned never edited the videos it just looks like Ned was that one bossy team mate that made everyone else do the work yet constantly criticised it we all had during group projects. That might just be how I see it though.

Hate to defend Ned on this part but I read he handled the finances? Apparently that's what he was good at, so while the other guys did edits he did the finances, to balance out the work. Read this in a comment on another video. (Not true if it's accurate though)

@@JMTan-dh2sva lot of people can do finances, there is an entire course and industry that literally teaches only that, easy to replace him. .. what generates the views (and therefore the revenue) is the quality and consistency of the videos - which seems Ned has very little contribution anyway..

@@JMTan-dh2sv He made his bones at BF being an office guy. And that is absolutely necessary. It's a business and has to be run that way.

@@TinayBautista Editors are easy to find too. I'm not defending him, but managing 20 people and making a profit aren't that easy. There are plenty of people with a business/accounting/finance background that will run a company into the ground.

@@TinayBautista Not to praise Ned, but just because you can do finances, doesn't make you good at it. Just like being able to cook doesn't make you as good a trained professional chef 🧑‍🍳.
