I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates popsicle sticks. I have such a strong revulsion towards the mere concept of them I almost didn't watch this one. It was difficult to write the words "popsicle sticks" without shuddering. I used to be a cashier at an arts and crafts store and I would loathe ringing them up even though they were in plastic packaging.

A while ago, I found popsicles where the wooden stick was replaced by a piece of hard liquorice. Which means you could still eat the stick afterwards! It was in a Dutch shop, the Dutch are well known for their liquorice. I didn't like the liquorice, but even if I threw it away, I knew it was biodegradable.
