This is very famous Hadees that Prophet said,"This world would not end but before that a person from my progeny whose name would be my name and whose father's name would be same as mine will rise." Surely if there is no Imam then Qayamat has to come...and at day of judgement each people will be called with their Imams of their time...

I was born sunni as my parents. But then my dad converted to Shia and taught us principles of it. Now our family is Shia thanks to him. If a person just thinks a bit further, he or she will know it's the right path to the Iman.
