In Quito Ecuador, there's a community of Haitian immigrants who live in the Comite del Pueblo barrio (neighborhood). Because of Haiti's current financial and security crisis, these Haitian refugees left their country in search of a better life and have made it to Quito, and now they are preparing to embark on a journey towards the American-Mexican border.
Quito is the capital of Ecuador, the country's most populous city[2] and at an elevation of 2,850 meters (9,350 ft) above sea level, it is the second-highest official capital city in the world and the closest to the equator. - Wiki

Bro adding history lessons like this is super profound and important. It shows a lot about you as your character and what you’re trying to do. My GF is Venezuelan so I’m interested in Venezuela (and I live in Spain and make content in Spain) and so I study the history of bolívar and their history and none of it would be possible without Haiti and you carry that in your blood and spirit represent bro

Bro im sitting here on my couch in Brooklyn New York smiling the whole video from start to finish. As a Haitian guy very similar to age as you and also first generation this was awesome to watch. You really painted the picture for me cause as an interpreter when people like this get to Mexico to eventually try to get in to USA I usually hear the end story of their refugee story. The struggle of traveling for 6months to a year through South America and Central America. And the when immigration office speaks to them or they at hospital I usually have to interpret for them. I get fascinated by their stories and strength. You have amazing spirit to you bro. Keep up the great work! I’ve travelled to quite a few places and countries myself but south and Central America is what I want the most cause I want to see and speak the Haitian people first-hand like this. Belle Bagay man! 👏🏾👏🏾

Yes. Haiti was the beacon of the diaspora. They wanted all African people in the Americas to gain freedom and unite. That was their stipulation and agreement for showing Bolivar how to beat the Spanish. Remember, Haiti not only freed Haiti from the French. They also kicked the Spanish out of the Dominican Republic and freed them. Dominicans talk smack about Haitians but had it not been for them, they would still be getting the bozack of the Spanish. Haiti told Bolivar to free African slaves in all the lands he freed. In typical backstabbing European fashion, he didn't do it.

This was a great video, I love the dynamics of the educated preacher guy, and the guy who showed the flat. I didn't know about that historical connection between Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela and Haiti so that was good to learn. I'm Trinidadian at birth but grew up in London and whenever I go somewhere new and find another Trini there that makes the experience unforgettable, so I know my man Ace was in his element with all the Haitians he met, mayne what a positive video 10/10.
