My friends and I also have hit-or-miss randomness when it comes to the virtual dice in Roll20. It feels good to see you travel back to the good old plastic polyhedrals.

the gang has made some vicious enemies, yet are also forging promising---even if somewhat tacit---alliances. I came here for the dungeon-delving and hare-brained schemes, but am most definitely staying for the faction play and how it is and will be shaped by both the players' decisions and the yet-undiscovered secrets that Arden Vul itself holds

The factions, the mysteries, the exploration, the NPC's, the emergent storytelling... This campaign and Arden Vul have so, so much going for them, and we've barely scratched the surface.

I love that Wulfheard has apparently settled on "cartoon Mainer" for his accent 😅 Really a big fan of physical dice. It was super cool to be able to see the dice rolls on screen but even in my online games, I encourage my friends to use physical dice. There's just something more exciting about it!

I am still going through the original Dolmenwood campaign so this comment is to just say thank you and I wish this show was around before all the 5e shows. You guys do an amazing job showing off the reason why this style of play is the golden standard in my opinion. Out of the box thinking. Pure emergent storytelling. The shows running modern style games do a great job as being entertaining but you guys show off more of the beauty of ttrpgs (in my opinion). I have loved D&D since I was 8 (3e) but never got to play till 4e/5e era. Not till recently have I started playing the golden age old-school style. I wish I could have had access to B/X or something similar when I was younger instead of 3e but oh well. Watching your games is helping me get out of bad habits both as a GM and a player that I got from running and playing more modern style games. Keep it up and thank you for putting this out there fro everyone to enjoy.

This episode had a lot going on... negotiation, exploration, vaporizing the much coveted cleric scrolls. One of the downsides to episodic play with tight deadlines is how that chest was handled out of necessity, don't get me wrong, it was a really cool scene!

Fantastic episode. May I ask why you went back to physical dice? 🎲 I was a little disappointed, as it adds to the excitement seeing the rolls. This does not alter the fact that this is the best actual play RPG on the internet.
@3D6DTL
@3D6DTL 3 ай бұрын
We want true randomness in the rolls, and digital dice is just another window we have to keep open. Plus handling real dice is one of the joys of RPGs.
@captaingambit8690

Yes, that is true. There is nothing like rolling real dice. Your show is so entertaining, it doesn’t really matter about seeing the dice.
