Playing the infinite beta was one of the few times where I was smiling ear to ear despite everything. It was the first time in 3 years I had touched anything halo so I was getting slapped constantly but I was having fun. 343 knocked it out of the park. Sure a lot of things are messed up but this is the halo game we needed maybe not the one we wanted but it is still a incredible game.

To unlock everything in Season 1 and assuming you have the season bundle, you would need to play and level up at least once for 100 days straight. Back when you only got 50XP per match, you'd need 2,000+ hours to get everything. Thankfully you now get a guaranteed 1000XP (which is a full level) for the first 6 matches of the day and some of the Challenges are generous with their XP payouts, but that's still at least ~600 matches you need to play just for Season 1. With each match ending at around 10 minutes, that's over 100 hours required. The fact that they expect that we do this all over again for Season 2 is crazy. I currently have 36 hours in the multiplayer and I only reached like level 27. Granted, a good chunk of that was way before the XP / challenge changes, but it's still ridiculous.
