That sounds a lot of fun! I'm planning to get a RP5 and I would like to use it just like this, bring it to a friends house and play multiplayer games together. @@bencekiss7662 that can be annoying but hinges mostly on the emulators you use. Getting controllers connected across platforms and leaving them paired to players 2-4 helps (setting up at home first). Switching between console inputs and bluetooth controllers for player one is the most common switch, but once you've done it a few times you'll have the couple steps down no problem. Love this video, so want to try this out. I'll get a Flipzizzle eventually but I spent most of my gift money on vinyls but I also want to see your reviews on the Miyoo Flip when it comes. As an owner of an Analogue Pocket and Dock setup and a bunch of console styled 8bitdo controllers, this Flipzizzle setup is something I would recommend to most. The AP is a great setup but its is so premium that I don't want to leave the house with it. Also, controllers sync to the dock, not the handheld so to get the convenience of going from one TV/dock setup to another, you either need to resync your controllers or get another set of controllers for the second dock. And only certain cores have save state capability but that isn't the fault of the device, its the FPGA chip used.

“…spent my money on vinyls..” how retro of you! 👍

Side note, if you have the 8bitdo adapter you can go wireless on the RG35XX (OG and 2024 edition)! Like, I hooked that up to link my 8bitdo Pro 2 controller to it and it worked great. That way if bluetooth is not an option you are not completely SOL or bound to cable connection. Though, it only allows one connection at a time.

I consider mice elf a latency snowflake! I used to have a lot of problems with it in Rocket League which it would basically mean game over. Shamefully I would mention it in chat, to fall on deaf ears and rolling eyes but it was true. I got a new computer and the difference is night and day and I no longer have to snowflake around, that computer was done for. In retro gaming though it is not such a big issue but it can be too. I typically wont notice it, especially if I have never played the original cartridge. Loved the term you coined.

The vast majority of PS2 runs fine on the RP5, but the very hardest to emulate games will need some tinkering. The Steam Deck is definitely more powerful, and it can run PC games too, so I'd go for that, unless portability is a factor in which case the RP5 is a little beast for the size.
