The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood; BOOK review

This was a great book, beautiful, quality writing in a deceptively slow yet thrilling story. There is a huge amount of social, political and religious commentary in there as well. A hard and cynical analysis of human abuse of power and hypocrisy of people in power over others. Just generally an excellent book which I thoroughly recommend.
