Great comparison. I have a small fortune invested in the red devils(not just the K-body ones) and will swear by their strength. They are brilliant at springing that warped decking board into the right gap. However, I totally agree with your comment on the adjustment..the Jet versions have always tempted me because of this. The ruler marking are also a good addition to getting the clamps adjusted before gluing up. I just may have to get a few now. Keep up the good reviews. I have the Milescraft Joint Pro after your review of it. It is excellent.

Thanks Philip. Glad to hear you are enjoying your Joint Pro. The Bessey's are brilliant. No doubt. But Phoebe's point is well made. The Torquata Parallel Clamps are well made and significantly less expensive and perform the same task. Thanks again for your comments. Much appreciated.

That's a pretty good talk up on the cheaper vs the big B! Interesting facts about the two brands and their features. Cheers Pheobe. 👍🏽

My comment is the same as Jason Peter's. The title of this video is cheaper alternatives than bessey, yet on the timbecon website using the link in the video description the price is the same for the bessey or timbecon. I'm looking at a set of 4x800mm which are both 325 for bessey or timbecon. Video is misleading.

For us quality and precision is everything. Bessey. Timbecon Reservoir get all our business for this, bags and machines because they are easy to work with and we value their stock and advise. Cheaper isn’t always better.

The Compt's Bessey is good but it’s over priced and you’re paying more for the name then the clamp I have none and my stuff looks good as the next sometimes it’s skill not just a tool just saying. Enjoy your besseys
@new50573 жыл бұрын
I can tell you from personal experience the Torquata parallel clamps are NOT parallel. I bought 8 from timbecon. None are right I emailed timbecon......no response. The quick release doesn't work when they're tightened. The bars of the 1250mm I bought are not straight.

Hi Chris - I've had a look in the system and found your sale record and have passed this on to our customer service manager who will be in touch with you this afternoon

How is it that these clamps are the same price? I'm skeptical about torquatas being as good as the besseys. I'm more than happy to be wrong.
@tasothdevil014 жыл бұрын
what size clamp do you recommend?
@pollypocket84245 жыл бұрын
I would still buy the Bessey as they only cost slightly more than the Torquata at other suppliers, such as Just Tools, Get Tools Direct or C&L tools, eg 600mm Torquata Sale price $64.90 Regular price $72.50, Bessey REVO 600mm $74 from C&L with FREE Shipping, Timbecon you need to be more aggressive in pricing the Chinese equivalent of a Quality German made product, also you could be better pricing for the German Bessey your price is $89
@gdwsvideos93084 жыл бұрын
I thought that the "newer" K-body REVO clamps were made in China?? At least the ones that we see here in the U.S. Is Bessey making K-bodies in Germany ??
@pollypocket84244 жыл бұрын
@@gdwsvideos9308 I hope not, that was the erason to buy Bessey over the other brands, if they are now made in China they will be shit and fall apart just like all the other copies.

Forget the Torquata. The jaws aren't parallel. The ends aren't at right angles to the bars.

Thanks mate, very helpful. I’m always looking for a cheaper, quality alternative to beset clamps as being retired, well, the top shelf is a little bit higher than it used to be shall we say and price is now a consideration so thank you for this info. Wonder if they sell on the east coast? Oh, btw, nice presentation too, thank you, you sound like you could be very interesting to learn from, again, wrong side of mighty Oz but, oh well 😎👍
