Meet the dragon ogre shaggoths doomstack - these dudes are well-armored, resistant to missiles and fast enough to either frontal assault or flank your sisters: once they close the distance, the sisters can do nothing but put theirs heads between their legs and kiss their asses goodbye!

Torak8988 Even if they have better than average armor piercing the shaggoths still have missile resistance and lots of hit points - and they move as fast as most cavalry, so the sisters won’t get in too many shots on them before they close the distance: once the distance is closed, the sisters are corpses on the field. All other factors being equal, the shaggoths murder sisters in 1 vs 1 combat - it’s just a matter of charging through the initial volley of arrows (yes, singular - these things are fast enough that it’s not particularly likely they will get off a second volley on an open field) to bury their axes in elf flesh.

Sisters of Avelorn are so strong in tw:w2 it's not even funny. Line up as many as you can, stretch out a few units of el cheapo -meatshields- spearmen to protect them from enemy infantry and watch death rain down.

the thing is with dark elves they were originally high elves so they are trained the same and then some, the dark elves had to innovate their culture to counter highelf numbers superiority so they pretty much know everything in the highelf book of tricks and considering they exclusively worship the elven god of war dark elves are martially better because their entire culture is built around it. Dark elves are infinitely better fighters simply because they have to be to contend with the strength of Ulthuan and their own society so so literally cut throat.

This is a very strange comparison. Why executioners and Sisters of Avelorn? Sisters is a diverse royal guard, they're small in numbers and they only live to protect the Queen of Avelorn. Executioners is an elite infantry unit. Would have made more sense to compare Executioners with Swordmasters of Hoeth. They both perfect the same art and they both are used as elite infantry.

If this was taken from the ever queens wedding which I don't think it was than you can pretty much make the argument that they could have been matched up against pretty much any other type of unit as well, except for perhaps dragons. In fact would have made more sense to use the witch elves as they played a more pivotal role in the lore.

This video in a nutshell: Executioners can't win so they require a handicap of having cavalry that charge ahead and distract the Sisters of Avelorn so they can get into melee, thus rendering the Sisters of Avelorn's strength, their range, useless. I call this... cheating, and favoritism.

Infact like 80 percent of Naagarothi troops are better then their High Elven counterparrs cause Malekith has Aenerions veterans and the High Elves have mainly militias muxed in with a couple solid Phoenix Guard and Dragon Princes
