Maybe the solution to tundra is to add some cultures from Canada into the game? Perhaps Haida in the Ancient Era, Dorset (a pre-Inuit culture) in the Classical, Thule (a separate pre-Inuit culture that displaced the Dorset) in Medieval, Quebecers in Early Modern, Newfoundlanders in the Industrial, and Canadians in the Contemporary. Give each some sort of bonus that boosts tundra tiles. I feel like the UU for Newfoundland would need to be the Royal Regiment, with the ability to immediately recover full health if it survives a full battle with less than 10% health, and the Canadian UU should probably be the Avro Arrow, a distinct early era fighter unit with an anti-air specialization (it would need to be able to still hold its own against the multirole fighter, perhaps via a movement advantage?).

Maybe also the Rus as a Norse-adjacent Medieval culture?

Good idea to have a bi/norse option. They were farmers who raided not raiders that farmed. And... I love your content mate.

I don't know if it's in the game but I wish they had a search function for the map. Kind of like civ where you could type in a resource or a terrain type and it would highlight and bring up a list of ones visible. Would be so helpful to know if the production infrastructure fkr things like Woods or stone fields is worth it in your empire. That way you don't need to hover over and count as much

Question - how did Jumbo take over that “independent people’s” settlement without a war or without ransacking it? Or was that feature removed in an update because I don’t think I can currently do that. (Edit: 29:30 time stamp)

Hey, just because I mentioned it before... (and because it gives the KZbin algorithm some interaction, so why not?)... It's currently past 7am GMT, the video has been up for about 6 hours, and it so far doesn't have any options for subtitles. (Although interestingly, I can watch it in 1080p, which a ton of videos are prevented from when using a mobile browser.) This is obviously in no way your fault, it's just KZbin being weird and totally inconsistent. Anyways, I'm gonna go watch the video now, and hopefully it's a good run!

Yeah - I think with long form content like this it sadly takes a bit longer from time to time. Sometimes I’ve seen it take four or five days (and rarely it doesn’t work). Sorry! It was such a fun run. Wacky and wild 😂
@werdfeefs70273 жыл бұрын
Hey, you probably already know this, but that extra unit event that has a chance of spreading disease and taking a unit next turn? That second event *only* shows up if you have two or more units grouped together. If all your hunting parties are separated, they can't spread disease!

Another small thing: you mentioned in an earlier video that you believe the wondrous effect overwrites the normal bonus you get from a resource. I don't know if that's true - I *think* that they stack with each other - but if it is, that means that silk is the one luxury resource you should never, ever exploit. In the case of this run, turning *+TEN* industry on every single makers quarter into +50% industry overall is a net loss. Silk is by far and away the best luxury in the game, hands down. (Followed only by early ambergris.)

@@MrCarlosdiago except English is basically just a hodgepodge of loan words with a Germanic base. You'd likely be surprised just how much of the English language has French, Latin, or Norse roots. Aesthete in particular is a Greek derivative, so it wouldn't follow standard English pronunciation conventions.
