Absolutely! 💯 I do appreciate that she seems to be trying. Victoria Williams, Raven Symoné, Zoya Biglary, Nicole Bloomgarden, Kyra Green. Those were all great episodes, and I really appreciated hearing many of them talk about the intersection of their race with their queerness, or being in interracial relationships. I definitely hope to see many more POC have a voice on the podcast though, and I look forward to hearing about their experiences as well.

The part about Friendship breakups was so needed for me, thank you for helping me see it in a different light! Within the past couple years I lost some long term friendships and was really hurting, but I do believe the people that are supposed to be in your life will stay. I have some pretty amazing friendships! Also Queer Bookclubs especially if you love reading, is a good way to make more friends. I am in my local one and I've made many new friends and had new adventures that way. So happy for you and Becca!!

Hi, Shannon. First, I'm decades older than you and pretty sure that's also true among your followers. I wish there'd been a "source" like you when I was a kid trying navigate my sexuality. Of course, being queer wasn't even a topic of conversation then. I grew up just across the border from Texas, but spent most of my adult years living in the Dallas area. Being anything but straight then wasn't an option. I postponed coming out until I was about sixty, and a friend did the outing. It was an OMG moment for me. I watch your podcasts on KZbin and have enjoyed all your guests, especially when you've had your family with you. Another favorite "guest" is Zoe, which led me to her music videos. I love them. This is my first ever comment and probably the last, but I'll be watching. Thanks for your insightful conversations.

Covid screwed me up just like you are saying. I describe it as "disoriented." I'm a trial lawyer and the courts basically closed for two years, then went half-a**ed virtual (no, you can't do litigation virtually -it's absurd), and I mostly sat and stared at a wall for 3 years (ok played video games and watched YT vids). It's been starting to feel more normal this last year, but I definitely really went through that time thing - (still going through it to a degree) and just generally know that so many of us have some kind of PTSD/trauma from the whole thing, for sure.

Interesting how the dopamine effect has changed over time for getting views. Must be such a weird world. I would never want to be famous or super rich because I think it becomes harder to maintain simple happiness (although satisfying to have helped many people). I'm glad Shannon has somehow found a way to detach from the internet's judgements (good or bad) because I think it can mentally mess people up and make it harder to feel peace which is all I wish for her. Kinda wish we could protect her from the hurtful parts of being famous. 💙
