Thank you. I am told I am a descendant of a methodist circuit rider in southern Ontario. He later became a farmer who ministered part time.

my grandfather Grant Anthony Robbins was a circuit rider, as were all his brothers and his father and his brothers and his wife's father and her brothers(the McClures). i come from a long line of methodist circuit riders. i have some of his (my grandfather's) writings attached at the top with a rusted pin, assuming this is pre-staples. my great great uncle was Anthony Bewley, an abolitionist lynched in Fort Worth right before the civil war, around the time my grandfather was born. Bewley was my grandmother's uncle. thanks for the video! many people don't realize it was methodist circuit riders who spread christianity across the country. the methodist were split around the time of the civil war over slavery, my side of the family were abolitionists, and they paid for it dearly, but not as much as the slaves paid for it, of course. my grandparents came across the country in covered wagons, and from there my grandfather rode the circuits. my dad, Grant Anthony Robbins Jr., was born in 1916, the youngest of 4 children.

Family lore has it that my Gr-Gr-Grandfather was a Circuit Rider Minister in Texas. Are there any lists of databases of Ministers? Thank you.
