Also the width of the road, as well as the amount of lanes and straightness of it, it was obviously a capital or big, largely planned city. When you’re doing this mode, you should hold your guess until the last second, particularly in the later rounds. If you put in a guess early, the other people will be able to spam guesses until they get one better than you. If you guess at the last second, they don’t have a chance to see that you’ve passed them and by how many miles and make a guess based on that. It makes it so that if they aren’t really sure and they either put their guesses all in the same (wrong) area or just kind of spread their guesses around everywhere you can sneak in with the closest one at the last second without them having a chance to respond to your guess.

17:44 Hi Tom, FYI, road numbers in France starting with a D are known as Routes Départementales. Départements are small pieces of land (there are around 95 of them in Metropolitan France). You will find a road named « D1 » or « D144 » or « D820 » in almost all départements. So it is useless to search for « D138 » unless you know in which département you are in. You can know the département by different hints such as the departement number, or a big city nearby that could indicate more or less which departement you are in. Good luck!

In this format it would be the wisest to guess as late as possible. You can't change it anyway, and that way you don't give other people the opportunity to "leech" off your guess by watching the distance change; especially in the later rounds.
