Thank you to all the people involved in making this video with so much love and care. Thank you for sharing these beautiful people’s voices and stories. It touches me so deeply. My heart aches from seeing the suffering people go through. And I give thanks to the power of the human heart & it’s incredibly courage. Sending my love out to this world and praying each person finds safety and a place to call home inside and out.

It's sad that the suffering of refugees doesn't get more attention...people choose to intentionally ignore these issues
@fionaautumn4 жыл бұрын
@NewtNukem Where there is poverty corruption thrives, it's not the people's fault. They don't have power to change anything, the government does. And they have no choice but to flee, I bet if your neighbourhood was being bombed and you were living in absolute poverty, you'd leave too. But I do not expect you to have that level of understanding or empathy
@fionaautumn4 жыл бұрын
@NewtNukem They do not have that much power, it's not as easy as you think. How about you change your country right now since you are also part of the people, good luck and get back to me when you've succeeded. Of course it would be good if those countries also changed and there was less poverty and war, but it depends on the government and the involvement of other countries. As of now the people have no choice but to flee. And as of the other things you've said that's putting your own words into other people's mouth, that's pure speculation and not even worth discussing.

The heart of a nation starts within its citizens n as / in each individual person …. As does fear …. It’s a shame we in west don’t know or see this but it’s a bigger shame that those in Syria who r aware aren’t lobbying for them n helping (wo inciting or allowing hate n radical behavior) bc as much as ppl wanna blame the west (n I see why), it’s often 2% & many individuals in west r charity driven n go help ppl hitting hard times much less sever in their own community …. Why not an ounce of that good will in the hearts of individuals…. I see the Syrians r strong n good hearted …. But is it bc of fear ? Blame on the west ? Desensitized? Greed? Or lack of it being tough n loud ? I dunno but I do know the ppl - r the government (n we forget that n let others take that power) n we can not ask our own gov or other gov to do what little to no individuals r doing …. I get it these ppl r often all traumatized n too busy trying to get into a safer better place in life or geographically n others wounded n sick n can’t do more than pray …. But it was so awesome how they freed tormented prisoners …. But I haven’t seen them go & help feed n build n warm the women & children in these camps or even try like they heroically n fiercely did for the imprisoned men (they must do it non ego n safely to not stir things up or it’s back to another hell of Isis for these kids n women)….. it just seems with a lot of men - even awesome leaders n righteous ones in these regions …. They like a big scene (which is understandable when freeing tortured men n even some women n kids) but I don’t see women n kids esp a location they know mostly has the women n kids n r cold n hungry in camps n r much more innocent n young n less radical than the prisons (tho I know many were not radical in the prisons and in need of so much help & shouldn’t have been hurt like that regardless)….. its like is it bc they r less radical ? Like why not go n at least give aid to these ppl n esp kids n demand it - much easier than the work they did in freeing the tortured prisoners …. But who knows maybe they tried & maybe going n giving aid isn’t as cool of a scene

I have a story to tell I had some toys and a little Syrian boy came up to me. And asked for a tinker bell doll. He said do you want money for the doll. I said No you can have it for free. The little boy smiled and he said Than You. I cried so much. It may only be a toy but it is a blessing from God to bring a smile to a refugee child. If only more people would help them this world would be a much better place. God Bless

The middle-aged lady in black scarf has seen some really difficult times, there's so much wisdom in her words. She wants her daughters to write a book or make a film (not become "doctors") to tell the world the horrors of what they have witnessed. It seems as if she has consciously made a choice to banish wishful thinking. She is living her reality for what it really is.

This seems to me to be a powerful brief documentary even now, a year or so on. Personally, I’m not sure religious extremism is the root issue or that religion in general is the fundamental debate or the solution. It seems more of a conflict involving cultural diversity and a lack of mutual understanding in that regard. I’d love to participate in education on cultural diversity for the promotion of a world, not just of mere tolerance but rather of mutual understanding, appreciation and benefit on a globally inclusive human scale.
