This guy should go to Somalia and say, "We are going to change the way we teach our children the Quran." Instead, he went to people who don't understand most of what he means and just cheer because he is insulting his own people in front of others. He should speak directly to the Somali people. To me, this guy is completely confused and thinks that by insulting his people and telling fabricated stories to others, he will be loved and admired. However, people see him as misguided and lost. Many are probably wondering why he doesn’t go to his own people and work on changing the teaching methods there. I know that beating children to memorize the Quran is not the right way to teach, but in most African countries, children are beaten while learning. Go to Kenya, for example, and you’ll see how kids are beaten in schools.
