It was supposed to be Chronic 2000. Suge Knights petty a$$ put out a Death Row compilation album and stole that name. I think, there was actually some legal stuff about the "Chronic" title. Which is why Dre's album, although generally referred to as Chronic 2001 is actually titled just '2001'.
@Kev27RS2 жыл бұрын
@@chiarosuburekeni9325 Yes, it came out in '99! That's why Dre wanted to name it "2000". If you think about it now though, "2001" fits because the 21st century and new millennium started in 2001!
@chiarosuburekeni93252 жыл бұрын
@@Kev27RS yeah but that's not why it ended up being called 2001. Suge caught wind that Dre was going to call his album Chronic 2000 so he rushed and put together a shitty Death Row compilation and called it that to try to beat him to the punch and IDK, confuse people or jack some of his sales.

I really don’t blame Dr. Dre for not wanting anything to do with Suge. I’m not saying that Suge Never done anything good or something like that. He’s done good things and he put a lot of people on but at the same time I see where Dr. Dre is coming from. I think Jimmy Iovine hit the nail on the head in the defiant ones documentary. When he he said he had a talk with Suge and was trying to talk some sense into him and basically told him like hey dude you’ve been telling me and thanking me because I got you guys out of the streets now you’ve made millions of dollars but you guys are neck deep in all of this fighting now. That’s why you guys like Snoop Dogg, Trey Deee, Nate Dogg, Daz, Kurupt, etc. by the time 1996 had rolled around they really weren’t trying to have this East Coast West Coast beef. They had just spent like two or three years beefing with Ruthless, they were kind of on board at the beginning especially after their video shoot got shot up but like Kurupt and Bad Azz said in an interview, they got into wrapping to get out of the streets they didn’t get into wrapping to die in a shootout over rap beef. I honestly was hoping when Suge got out of prison and started death row back up that he would’ve done something with the record label. He spent hundreds of thousands of dollars hiring 50 people to basically follow the up in smoke tour around and harass Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg and Eminem and all them. I mean think about the money that you have to spend on plane tickets and hotels on top of the money that you’re paying these guys to try to jump or shoot these guys that used to work with you. So he had money for all of that but we couldn’t ever get a solo album from Kurupt or Crooked I ? Yeah I could see why Dr. Dre didn’t wanna have anything to do with him. He was more worried about making sure everyone knew he was a gangsta instead of focusing on the music. That’s the dumb shit that got 2Pac killed.

Na bro Dre and Eazy never had real beef. They lived in the same neighborhood in Calabasas 😂 BG knoccout or somebody said he seen Eazy and Ice Cube dap hands and go talk in Private before when Cube left NWA. They all never beefed like that. The violent stuff is all from Suge knights side of stuff
@yamahakid450f2 жыл бұрын
@Noboby Else I believe cube a whole lot more than hearsay from some other dudes 'claims'...While it wasn't deadly beef, just more "I feel betrayed and wanna beat your ass" type of beef. They didn't speak for years and one night they randomly saw eachother in a parking garage and it was their first words to eachother in years, both sides in the beginning were on guard thinking the other was potentially about to start something physical. They talked before going their separate ways and icecube himself says he never got a chance to really hangout and truly squash it after that encounter, the next time he was in the same room was in the hospital. You can believe what some third party says because it fits what you want to believe about their relationship, but logically you should believe the situation told by the man himself, Cube.. He's got no reason to lie these days about having a fake beef. Maybe at one time a fake beef could of been leveraged for marketing and selling records for both parties, but there's nothing to gain in the 2010's (when cube's interview was posted), especially since one of the people involved has been dead for a really long time... I'm sure he wishes he could tell everyone it was fake and they were all good and remained friends after he left NWA, but that wasn't the case, both Cube and Eazy before his death talked about it, you could see It wasnt fake, especially if you were alive then and saw either Cube or Eazy live when all this was going on, you could hear the disdain... especially from Eazy towards cube, shit, he lost his baby/money maker (NWA) when Cube and then Dre left, it wasn't NWA without them and his bank account took a massive hit, records weren't selling the same and he maintained the same exact lifestyle as when NWA was at its peak.. Cube had beef with everyone in NWA after he left, so did Dre, only one that kept the peace and stayed in contact with Cube (idk about Dre) was 'Quick'. It took a long time for Dre and Cube to squash it, but their relationship currently is no where near what it once was. Now it's more like an cordial acquaintance who happen to share a whole lot of memories together, rather than a true friendship.

Alameda County has very envious and reckless Clans/ Klans that keeps getting into my business and allowing other troubled People to come to Alameda County disrupting my incomes but expect People to pay bills like R. Kelly was say about not being able to take care of his Kids if we cannot work. The ones in Alameda County being allowed to do this should be greatly harmed for all of the financial damage that they have caused and exposed to us. It is obvious that these Strangers to me are jealous of us and trying to make it appear that we did not contribute to our Communities. Envy is not the norm in Alameda County and should not be accepted anywhere. I was on a mission as well to save a lot of money and not to deal with troubled People. Thanks for sharing

Why do people on interviews when it cones to questions? skip the era of Xzibit’s beginning of his career like his first two albums don’t exist? That happened on Drink Champs and Adam 22’s No Jumper podcast? They’ll just go straight to his 3rd album Restless. No Jumper and Nore thought Xzibit was signed to Aftermath the whole. Smfh. They must not really know Xzibit’s discography.

Snoop Dogg Pimp Slapp'd track - "I'm not Xzibit, you can't pull my hxx card". So whilst it seems Dre was insisting everyone stay out the beef, Snoop, Daz and the Eastsidaz were heavily beefing with Death Row at the time (after Kurupt had also returned to Death Row as VP). So it seems Snoop got wind of an interaction between Xzibit and Suge where i believe Xzibit might have been questioned/threatened by Suge and his response was i'm out the beef thats between you and Snoop/Dre which Snoop didnt take too kindly too.
