My friend and I with a friend who was mentally disabled went to cemetery and the disabled friend said "Rose was tired of walking and wanted to go back to lay down" he then took us straight to a grave that had the name Rose on it. Yes, we were freaked out and left immediately.

I went to White Cemetery three years ago to do a KZbin video. I was parked at White Cemetery charging my phone to shoot a video when I suddenly heard three knocks coming from the back window of my car. They were distinct knocks as if someone was knocking on my car door but I was the only one there, It freaked me out and another weird thing that happened is the video that I shot of the cemetery weren't recorded, as if a mysterious force stopped me from recording it. White Cemetery is definitely haunted!

We always used to drive up and down Cuba Road in high school and in college. The only experience I personally had was one night after driving down Cuba Road. I dropped all my friends off. I got home probably around 1230 at night. I went in the kitchen to get a glass of water before bed, and I heard what sounded like hammering noises coming from our backyard. At the moment I thought it was odd, but brushed it off at first. I went up to our upstairs bathroom to brush my teeth. This was during the summer so my parents had the bathroom window cracked open. And while I was brushing my teeth I heard that hammering noise again. It was clear as day. It sounded like somebody hammering on a piece of metal. Like I said before it was after midnight, and we didn’t have any night owl neighbors. It was a very eerie experience.

Love the channel! A buddy of mine moved to Barrington on Rainbow road about 23 years ago. He showed me that abandoned property. There used to be a cop parked right outside the property. We weren't able to go in. That place gave off creepy vibes. He also showed me Cuba road and the cemetary. While we were driving there was a light that followed next to us in the cemetery. It kind of looked like a side marker light. Initially I thought that that's what it was. When we got out of his car a double checked that he had side marker lights. He didn't. Lol that messed with me. Keep up the great work! Love the narration!

When I was about 20 we drove down by White Cemetery to get spooked out. We were laughing and joking "Oooohhhh, spooky." like kids do...... and for some reason the electrical system in the car shut down - no headlights, no dash lights, speedometer and gauges dropped flat but the car was still driving. We freaked out. And then all of the sudden once we left the area the power came back up and everything was normal again. I will never forget that experience.

My in-laws live within walking distance of White Cemetery. I'd driven by the site several times, night and day, before starting to hear the tales. One element to the vanishing house story that I've read is that on rainy days, the outline of the building is occasionally visible, as if the rain is hitting it and stopping where the house "should" be. I don't know how that would actually appear in practice, as I'd expect you're still seeing all the rain falling between your position and the site, but it's a fascinating claim. Sadly, while I adore supernatural lore, I cannot say I've ever witnessed anything for myself on Cuba Road.

My friends and I used to drive up and down Cuba and Munger roads when we were teenagers, smoking the devil's lettuce, looking for ghosts, but we never saw anything. This video takes me back to a way simpler time before the opiate epidemic ravaged my hometown and killed most of my friends. The world has changed a lot since then (early to mid 00s) but its cool to see the old local legends our parents passed down to us are still being talked about today.

As I mentioned in your earlier video. Did a bit of research. Apparently there were mounds located near Cuba Road and one in particular on Lake Zurich Road. There was a tale of an Indian massacre at Buehler's Curve in the Lake Zurich Road but it was never confirmed. Indian relics were often picked up there in early days. Many arrowheads were also picked up on the William Sandman farm (now Biltmore Country Club) and other farms in the vicinity and later sold to A.W. Meyer, a Barrington merchant, who mounted them on black velvet in frames. Some of Meyer's exhibits were presented to the Barrington public schools after his death. Many cities in illinois were built on top of burial mounds, including the entire city of Decatur. The settlers had little respect for those burial mounds and many places I think are haunting hotspots now because of it. Great video as usual! 🎉

I have traveled down Cuba road many times when I was in high school, more often than not. nothing ever happened, we heard the urban ledged about a murder whose victim walked the road at night. There were a number of people who claimed to have seen their ghost. I never did see anything like that. And I think I pit more miles on my car on Cuba road than I would admit too. Before the area started to get developed, my friends and I would head out there at midnight, find a good spot to stop and turn the lights on the car off. It was the most, creepy thing I had ever done. It was black as tar and as quiet as a graveyard at the hour. We would sit for may be, 30 minuets and leave. But that was a very long 30 minuets. After doing that, you almost felt like something would follow you out or that area. It was very creepy, lots of cool memories though.

@@StrangeandSinister1 I did hear about a girl that was hit by a car close to there. I could never find any newspaper stories or any police reports on that. The one we heard the most, there was a man that used to live on or near Cuba. He supposedly murdered some teens and buried them on Cuba road. Then as he tried to get away, ran off the road into a tree and died. Now I always thought that story was rather farfetched, again I could not find any newspaper articles on that event either.

Great Video! Used to go there all the time in the late 80's early 90's. On a Halloween night a friend and I went to try to find the ghost house and walk the cemetery. We ended up having a encounter with the black car tailing my car from rte 14 to just before the cemetery. When I pulled over the car disappeared. At the time that was the one story we didn't know of until reading a story in the Daily Herald about Cuba Rd and its history. It use to have a yellow flashing light signal at Cuba and Barrington rd. which made it very eerie at night. Light is now gone and its just not the same

Had my own creepy experience on West Cuba Rd in 1969. There was a dirt entrance into a farmers field that I assume he accessed with his tractor. My girlfriend and I pulled in and parked behind a row of trees there on a cold October Saturday night for some Schlitz Malt Liquors and a little lovin. Not sure how long we had been there but suddenly the back of my Chevy bounced down and up a couple of times. We freaked and I just put in gear and just hit the gas and drove till we were in a well lit area somewhere out on Rt 12. Got out and looked at the trunk lid and in the condensation were a set of marks that maybe resembled fingers that had drag through the moisture. More than likely pranksters but who knows for sure. Yeah we never went there ever again. She's my ex at this point but we're still friends. I'll have to send her this video. Great video!

Very good narration. 👍 😊 I enjoyed this urban legend along with Rainbow road even though I live nowhere near Illinois. Cuba road reminds me of similar urban legends in my local town about an eerie, desolate country road with a similar "vanishing house" attached to it and it was told to me and my siblings growing up in the 80's as part truth and the other part, likely an urban legend. Legend had it that on full moon nights, there's an apparition of a huge 'mansion' in the woods that radiates a ghostly white. However, if you try to find a driveway to pull in and view this mansion, none exists. And there were other folklore attached to said mansion about hearing blood curdling screams and a wild Banshee that will chase away curious people that try to investigate which direction the screams are originating from. As kid growing up, these were urban legends told at slumber parties, gathered in the backyard after pitching a tent on summer nights. Not sure how much of what I was told was ever even true or just the typical neighborhood kids trying to scare each other out of our wits for fun. Also, there was another urban legend tied to the vanishing mansion about a ghostly hitch hiker that was purportedly killed (actual date and time never verified) and a ghost car that follows residents to their homes late at night, then vanishes before the driver can get a good look at the person(s) tail gating them. Again, these were a few of my local urban legends that I heard about growing up and thought I'd share a few. The country roads these creepy incidents occurred on have a few 1960's era homes on either side of the road. The only desolate country road (still to this day has no residents and no houses) is the road with the supposed vanishing mansion. The story behind why it no longer stands (or if it was even real at all) remains unknown. But the fright we kids would give each other when telling these stories by nothing more than a flashlight glow in a dark bedroom or camped out in the backyard kept us awake with horrible thoughts of some random deranged "Jason" slasher- hockey mask, machete-wielding creep hiding in the trees nearby. And yes, we watched way too many horror slasher films back in the 80's on VHS. Old-fashioned movie nights on the weekends, piled with popcorn, snacks and scary stories. 😊 Again, I enjoyed this story of Cuba road and White cemetery. I believe these stories could hold truth to them, especially about white orbs following motorists that drive by the cemetery at night, especially if these sightings occurred before solar lights were even invented.
@StrangeandSinister1
@StrangeandSinister1 6 ай бұрын
Thank you! I remember doing VHS horror movie marathons back in the day. We would watch the Friday the 13th movies all in a row. I think many of the orbs sightings at the cemetery did occur before those solar lights existed. But I've driven past the cemetery at night time before and remember seeing a few solar lights glowing, so I could see how drivers might think it's something else.
@EB1878
@EB1878 6 ай бұрын
@@StrangeandSinister1absolutely 💯! I also enjoy listening and reading about ghosts, the paranormal, haunted locations (famous and not-so-famous), local and nationwide urban legends, creepy stories, etc. And that would intrigue me seeing white orbs in a cemetery before solar lights. I don't think I'd be creeped out or anything, but I'd definitely try to capture it on video and pictures with the flash off (if using a cell phone). Where I currently reside, there's a lot of local urban legends and creepy stories associated with my town's cemetery. I've gone there many times at night and during the day. There's many mausoleums and headstones dating back to 1840 (the earliest I could find). Over the decades though, nitwits desecrated graves, stolen statues from tombstones, and repeatedly broke two huge (tall) 🪦 headstones that belonged to the first priest an nun to form a catholic church in my town. The vandalism became terrible in the mid-80's that their headstones were replaced five times. The final time they were cemented into the ground so they couldn't be broken anymore (nor stolen)

Not to be a killjoy because i love to hear or see other peoples experiences of the paranormal. I have probably driven Cuba rd. over a1000 times and never had any thing happen out of the ordinary, I wish i did, that would be cool.(maybe) But in December I was doing some work on the house that is closest to White Cemetery After about day 3 I felt comfortable with the owner to ask about the cemetery and with out bating an eye they said in over 20 years I have never seen anything other than all the visitors who were trying to see something. In 2016 my friends and I cruised Cuba Road, Rainbow Road, and also drove by white hill cemetery. When we drove by white cemetery I took a video as we slowed the car down. When I reviewed the footage later, we were shocked to see a light form and disappear inside the cemetery. The light had a body structure figure. Freaked me the hell out until I realized the light was a reflection from a sign in the back of the cemetery. That alone explains the orb sitings. I’m no skeptic though. @@StrangeandSinister1 He did speak of it, although I've never did get to see the tunnels. The tunnel lead from the house under Cuba Rd and across the way into the woods. In the basement there was a giant safe. Upstairs in one of the bedroom, there were hidden compartments under the wood floor. One of the owners, right before the current owner took it over, was a well-to-do woman who's husband loved big game shooting. When the current owner bought the house, she left all of the big game heads in that room you see with from the road (great room). Every inch of wall space was covered with some exotic animal. Agreed! My late fiance and I were on our way home late one evening, when out of nowhere we were ran off the road by a car that seemingly appeared out of nowhere with their high beams on. All I heard my fiance holler at me was; "Grab tight to the door handle! We're about to get into an accident!" I grabbed the door handle on my side for dear life. My fiance thought fast and veered off into the nearby baseball park's sandy parking lot with dirt and debris hitting the sides of our 73' Maverick. This happened to us in the early 2000's. My fiance was an auto mechanic by trade and never owned anything new in way of vehicles. He was an old fashioned guy. Luckily neither me nor my fiance were injured. My fiance got a look at the fast moving motorist, who, he estimated had to have sped up to 100 mph going down the road with a sharp bend with a blind spot. We were shaken up, but had quite the story to tell our nieces and nephews years later about our encounter with a ghost car. That's one of the only times I had ever seen my late fiance shaken up was the night we were forced off the road. Ironically, we never seen nor heard anything about the motorist that nearly caused us a hit and run either. I was amazed at how calm he was behind the wheel right as he quickly veered off the road (made a hard turn into the ball park lot) and fishtailed in the sand and the Maverick came to a perfect stand still. I'll never forget how close to a serious (and possibly fatal) accident we managed to avoid.

People who would be walking around the cemetery in the dead of night would report of being "tripped up" when walking over or near Schumacher's grave, as if something were trying to quickly grab your foot. I strongly believe in Paranormal Activity. I don't know about the orbs or about the vehicle, however, one night back in the mid-70s, me and five friends went to the Haunted Mansion on Cuba, not Rainbow Road, with a case of beer. We parked away from the house and went in. We were either in the living room or the family room and there was a fireplace that opened into other rooms. We laid down a sheet and we all sat there, cracked open a beer and after just one sip, I started to feel very uneasy. I said to everyone else "do you feel like we're being watched?" Everyone agreed and we picked up our things and hightailed it out of there! I'm not sure about anyone else but I know that I have never been back there since that happened. I am sensitive to paranormal activity & have been used as a medium, without my consent!

My friends were in the front seat and I was in the middle back seat. When we were passing the white cemetery, neither of them was watching the road. They were looking into the cemetery to see if they could see anything. I watched the road to make sure we didn't hit anything, next thing you know a woman in white shows up in the middle of the road. I was so convinced we were about to hit someone that I yelled for my friend to stop and honestly braced myself for impact, but we had already reached "her" and "she" had just vanished. They didn't see because of how short of time it was they didn't even have a chance to react. I sat in the backseat basically with my head tucked so I couldn't see anything for the remainder of the drive as they drove up and down hoping to see something. I am a very skeptical person but that was intense, the being in the road was 100% real. Whatever it was.
