5:08 did you not see “Bent-neck lady” standing quietly in the background?? Makes the final line in the episode, “Nobody could see me” even more poignant. The delivery of that line always rips my heart up. 😢😭

ive noticed that u get more emotional now shane and thats a BEAUTIFUL thing.. empathy is important imagine the planet we would have if everybody in a place of power used their empathy when it was most important.. we would all be heartless savages without love and empathy its just as important as strength and leadership whether it is used at ur job or how u raise a family.. happy to see u cry everytime lol 💜💜💜💜

It was the mother in the flashbacks. She is being greatly affected by the house, mostly because she was the most "sensitive" of the family members.

It was supposed to be a viewing for Nell but instead they get drunk and argue the entire night. Kind of reminds me of when our grandma died, everyone argued and disagreed for months about money and property

just a comment to say i’m really enjoying these reactions! i love this show, i’ve watched it every year since it came out back in 2018 and i never get bored of it. going into a horror expecting to be scared and then it hitting you as emotionally as this show does is rare, and i think that’s why it’s one of my favourite series i’ve ever seen. mike flanagan is incredible, not sure if you’re interested in doing any more of his shows for the channel, but i would recommend them for your personal time if you want, especially midnight mass. it’s a very different vibe than this but is definitely a standout. looking forward to the rest of these!

Did you miss Nell standing in the background at the funeral home? The hallway where Liv "isn't" doesn't exist. They are on the 2nd floor and Hugh runs past the doorway to the spiral staircase/library and the turns right to not find Liv. Earlier in the show it was shown that the library wall is windows up all three stories. It is the house playing with space and time. There are answers in the future episodes, all falls into place. Luke is calm in this episode because he has faced his "ghost".

@@3rdstreetreactions A second viewing of this series shows just how well written it is. You get to see how everything relates through the entire show. You realize how much of the script, like 90%, relates to something else/foreshadowing. Unfortunately, it is easily as, if not more emotional on multiple viewings. I have watched it 3 times along with multiple "first time reviews" and I still cry.

I think I started following BW a little before you reacted to Strange Things. Speaking of Stranger Things. I think it'd be cool if you brought another who hasn't seen it on the journey. Leading into the last season would be pretty sweet. So you've got time. :D
