The heart of Anglicanism sounds a lot like the Gospel of Jesus Christ. After recent interactions with certain Papal apologetics relating to Protestant essentials it's very encouraging to watch something like this, as someone who is not Anglican, and still find myself nodding along and saying 'Amen' to so much of what is being said.

Nice video. The more I study all the various denominational claims the more I'm struck just how much doctrinal development is happening. It's very helpful to see more efforts being put into Patristic research to reflect on the modern doctrine and practice. I have great respect for the traditional and conservative camps within the Big Four: Rome, Constantinople, Canterbury, and Wittenberg. Each has their strengths and weaknesses. Personally, my conscience is aligned with the Book of Concord but I have great admiration for the biblically traditional elements, especially within Anglicanism and Orthodoxy

Anyways, why is a woman attempting to explain the faith to me? “Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness. I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve; and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor. Yet she will be saved through childbearing - if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control.” - 1 Timothy 2:11-1

The Savoy declaration and Lambeth articles of the 1500s, is where I draw my theology off of. And of course the bible. Therefore thereupon wheneth I convert to Anglicanism I'm gonna be reformed Anglican. Because I'm gonna convert to Reform-Anglicanism. Paul from the doco here. In my calculus, I would first discern; am I going to a church where I will fight to restore it to truth? Or do I just need spiritual food? Then you need to see, even if under an apostate diocese, are there faithful parishes? If so, I'd join a faithful parish, and then work to reverse the rot of the diocese. But if that is not your calling, I probably would not join the parish. I would never join a parish that has "ordained" women and them preaching, or which supports same sex mirage. Hope this makes sense.

This presentation was good until the end when Anglicanism was presented as being monergistic Calvinism. As Anglican who is Arminian I found this disconcerting because you will not one find one article faith that teaches what ould teaches in the end of the video. While I respect Syndey Anglicans for their faithfulness on moral issues I profoundly disagree with them at this. Free will itself is a gift off God by prevenient grace. This enables anyone to truly response to salvation.

Not all Anglicans would agree that being presently justified means that on judgement day all will be good. It is necessary to abide in Christ in order to remain justified. When a Christian commits a mortal sin, he/she puts him/herself out of the justified state. The way back is by confession with true repentance and resolve to "go and sin no more" as the Saviour commands. It is presumption to think that one will be alright on judgement day. as that ignores the Bible's warnings about the possibility of falling away by becoming entangled in sins.

@@matthewashman1406 Anglicanism is not Calvinist or Lutheran. What is your definition of "reformed"? The Anglican BCP prays every morning that God will grantt that we fall into no sin. The Authorized Version Bible is the product of Anglicanism, and accurately conveys the message of the Saviour and his apostles that to love Him is to keep His commandments, that we must will to abide in Him or be cut off, that the one who abideth in Him sinneth not, but the one who sins is of the devil. Read the whole of 1 John and John 14-15. Nowhere does Scripture say that you remain justified before God while sinning.

@@matthewashman1406 Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Purify yourselves. Save yourselves. Abide in me. Sin not. Go and sin no more. These and all the other exhortations of Scripture show that the Christian is responsible for "laying hold on eternal life" by doing good works (see 1 Timothy 6.). The one who loves Jesus Christ is the one who keeps his commandments. (John 14) and keeps himself in the love of God (Jude). It is very clear that, in Christ, one is able to live a holy life, as enabled by the grace of God. That is how one receives Christ's righteousness, by faithful obedience. The faith that justifies is the faith that "worketh by charity" (Paul's letter to Galatians and also the Anglican Homiiles). .

Are certain sexual sins grave matter so as to prevent your entry to heaven? Does the CofE even believe sodomy, for example, is sinful? And if so, does it affect your salvation? How do you know when God has forgiven you? Must one do penance? Nobody knows in the CofE. There's no solid answer. Which is hilarious given Sydney Anglicans devalue so much that is fundamental to the Anglican tradition such as regular celebration of the Holy Eucharist by presbyteral presidency, and with acknowledgement of the real presence of Christ in the Holy Eucharist. Those things the 'liberals' aren't the ones compromising on - we aren't banning frocks either.
