When we don't see the results we want to see, do we keep going, double down, pivot or give up?
If you're a content creator, you know the feeling of putting your heart and soul into a project, only to see it get minimal views or engagement. It's frustrating and can make you question your skills and direction.
In this video, we explore the concept of the "plateau of latent potential" as described by James Clear in his book 'Atomic Habits.' Clear explains that during the early and middle stages of any pursuit, we often experience a "valley of disappointment" where our progress seems slow and discouraging. We expect linear progress, but true growth compounds over time, leading to exponential results. The gap between our expectations and actual results can make us feel like our hard work is wasted. However, Clear reminds us that this work is being stored and will show its true value later. This concept helped us understand that persistence is key, and we decided to complete our series of 10 videos, trusting that the effort we put in will pay off in the future.
"People give up right before the get what what they've always wanted to get. People quit and they give up."
- Michael B. Jordan
"You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something - your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. Because, believing that the dots will connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart; even when it leads you off the well-worn path.”
- Steve Jobs
