As a 13 year old I fell in love with his songs and was so unhappy when I heard he died. He was the best and introduced me to music of the mid 60's.

I had no idea he was so young! What a terrible shame. Rest in peace, Mr. Redding.

I was only 10 when he died. I remember crying my eyes out the first time I heard dock of the bay. He was definitely on his way to the top. Such a tragedy to his family and the world. He was so talented.

Otis wrote some of the best relatable lyrics of any artist of his time. I don't even have to look them up, I listened to this song so many times. _Looks like nothing's gonna change_ _Everything still remains the same_ _I can't do what ten people tell me to do_ _So I guess I'll remain the same_ RIP, Otis. ♥

The Bee Gees wrote To Love Somebody for Mr. Redding. Sadly, he never got the chance to record it. Rest in peace 🌹☮

Wow. I never knew he was only 26 years old. I always thought he was an older guy who'd been through life when he was singing dock of the bay.

James Brown himself had warned Otis about the plane. At that time James Brown had his own private plane. Otis did not listen. I was about 8 years old when I heard the news. I was very sad. His family still lives in Macon Georgia on private property. He is buried on the property.
