It's honestly pretty sad. Nuka devoted everything he had to trying to earn his mother's favor and love, even exclaiming as he climbed the dam "This is for you, mother!" Everyone loved and favored Kovu, literally singing his praise directly in front of Nuka. It's also not a far stretch of the imagination to assume that Nuka's malnutrition was caused by being denied food due to the fact that he was a non-breeding male, and there was a better heir option. All the while, he was often put in charge of the cub that took his place as heir, AND his place in the family. He's the sibling that watched his single parent, the one he relied on for comfort, guidance, and nurturing reject him and dote on their new, better son who was born "right."

Zira isn't Kovu's mother. After a few videos, I got curious and began to study everything associated with "The Lion King". Including the books. After I got done with the books I watched some more videos, and after watching the videos I was brought to the conclusion that Kovu isn't Zira's child. It appears that Kovu's real parents were killed by Zira, And kovu was kidnapped. Since Scar refused Nuka as his heir, he wanted someone better fit to lead however the next born cub was a female, I'm talking about Vitani. Vitani is female, therefore she can't be a king. Since Zira couldn't produce any offspring that was too Scar's liking, she had to find a heir and that's when she found Kovu.

If you read Lion King 2 fanfiction then you would easily come to believe that kovu, vitani, and nuka aren't zira's cubs but the writers of lion king 2 movie script stated that kovu, nuka, and vitani are zira's cubs. So you must've included fanfiction to come to your conclusion that states that nuka is not zira's cubs. Obviously your conclusion is wrong.

Correction: Kovu isn’t Scar’s son, and therefore he isn’t related to Kiara. Nuka and Vitani aren’t said not to be Scar’s children in the film so it’s a 50/50 go. I headcanon that Scar, being the narcissist he was, refused to make Nuka his heir because he couldn’t look him in the eye and be reminded of him. Same for Vitani. He picked Kovu because his fur color, and green eyes, reminded Scar of himself in the best way possible, and thus Scar gave him the name of “Kovu.” I also headcanon that Kovu was the product of an affair Zira had with another male for the purpose of giving Scar a successor. I imagine that Scar was tricked into believing that he was Kovu’s father, and thus, he chose him to become his heir to the throne.

I think the reason why nuka wasn’t made king was because he was a runt and looked different from scar then Kovu,and Kovu actually looks healthy enough to be king unlike nuka he looks unhealthy because of the way he was born and maybe because nuka doesn’t kinda look like scar but with Kovu scar saw him within Kovu then he did with nuka, and I do feel bad for nuka because he would always try to show his mother that he can be better king and provider then Kovu.

Well, we have seen quite frequently that true "empathy" is certainly not one of his strongest traits as has been shown to extend even toward family members when he murdered his own brother and tried to have the same done to his still-young nephew, and not with a shred of remorse. It’s been a while so I might have forgotten, but does it ever say in the film that Scar ever saw Kovu? My thought is that he was chosen to lead because Zira hated that Scar died and stole a cub that happened to be the spitting image of him. The thing is Kovu is about the same age as Kiara. Kiara was at earliest conceived during the “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” sequence but was most likely conceived sometime after Simba became king. That means Scar should have been killed before Kovu was born. My thought is after being driven out by the Simba loyalists Zira and the other Scar loyalists probably sought shelter with a nearby pride, this didn’t work out but while they were in the territory Zira saw Kovu as a newborn with a shocking similarity to Scar and either assumed Kovu was Scar’s reincarnation (green eyes are not exactly a common color) or thought he was Scar’s son and took him only to decide later he wasn’t.

It’s probably because he and Zira are half cousins. It may be that when ahadi’s queen uru. Why you ask? When the selfish lion mated with her mother he wanted a son but when uru was born he banished her and her mother from the outlands. He then mated with another lionesses who was a bit older but she did had a son. Which means uru and the other lion were half siblings. Which made it awkward for scar mate with his cousin zira. Inbreeding was in fact why nuka was unhealthy to be an heir to the throne. For example AA with aa will have another child who had the same genetic with the same code will cause a bad situation for the siblings offspring.

I say another theory that Scar actually wanted Nuka to become his heir because he sees himself in Nuka. It was Zira who tried to get Kovu to become king because he was born stronger but Scar refused to acknowledge Kovu as his son. However, upon his death, Scar tried to say that Kovu is not his heir but only got as fas as "Kovu is-" before dying, making everyone think he wanted Kovu to be heir.

I honestly think Scar would not have been a good parent. He hardly helped raise Nuka because he was too busy ruling Priderock along killing Mufasa. He lied about Simba being dead which he was still alive. He is not a good ruler or father. Nuka turned out just like Scar. Rotten and spoiled and treated Kovu like a bag of dirt when he was a cub. Nuka never deserved better. Sad that he died but he deserved it. He was a brat. No one respected him. He is truly an outsider. Zira was certainly no mother. She was brutal and vicious. Techniqly Zira didn't even exist before Scar was killed. Because in the first lion king every female lion was on the same side as Simba's mom aka against Scar, charging in attack when Scar admitted to killing mufasa. Plus all the lioness were there to see how Scar died. Yet zira sais Simba killed Scar. Plus Simba must of had 2 cubs but lost the first one, because at the end of #1, Rafiki is presenting a cub next to the young adult Simba, with fur the shade of a male, and in the middle of daytime. But in #2, the newborn cub is presented in the morning, with a fur coat the shade of a female lion, and Simba is older too
