Nagini turned not Evil. She was a misunderstood shapeshifter, who felt that no one understood her. Because she spoke an incomprehensible "Tounge" language. The only one who understood her was Voldemort. She therefore "joined" Voldemort.
@kenthuang4362 ай бұрын
I agree. I think she was extremely lonely due to not being a natural snake but a woman cursed to live out the rest of her life as one and she had no one to talk to as the other naturally born snakes shunned her for not really being one of them. Then she met Voldemort and didn’t know the true nature of the wizard and so she trusted him as he was the first person that could speak to her and understand what she was saying. Once she became a Horcrux, Nangini was unable to leave her master for good and he cast some binding spell on her so that she couldn’t escape from him. She was forced to do his bidding because if she didn’t then she would die at the hands of Voldemort.

I never liked the “plot twist” to make Credence a Dumbledore. It would’ve made much more sense to make him a Gaunt given his ability to speak parseltongue & that the Gaunt family is the direct descendants of Salazar Slytherin AND connected to Voldemort via Marope Gaunt/Tom Riddle Sr. It didn’t make sense that he was Aberforth’s son, I mean with who? The dude had a thing for goats 🤣 also it’s not like the Dumbledore brothers didn’t have a rift between them because of the death of their sister. This long lost son story was just a weak attempt to pull the rug out under the viewer. I mean I can see Grindelwald lying to Credence telling him he’s a Dumbledore in order to use him as a weapon against him but yeah no it makes more sense & better story to make him a Gaunt.

What i know is that Nagini was maledictus. Maledictus by definiton is person afflicted by curse that manifests through blood. One of Nagini's female ancestors or was cursed first so curse was passed on female descendats. At first cursed female like nagini in this instance could transform at will between snake and human form and before she was discovered she was circus attraction but her boss had no idea that any of nagini's transformation into snake can be last because her kind of malediction in the end stoped her from ever transforming back to human form. Nagini isn't only maledictus in harry potter world. Astoria Malfoy was also maledictus in a sense but her curse was a bit different. Astoria's curse doesn't manifest in every generation like Nagini's and it's not solely targeting women line Nagini's. Astoria's curse is like Nagini's passed on to her descendants through blood but it won't necessarily affect her children, next victim of Astoria's curse could be her grandchild or her great-grandchild and who ever end up being afflicted dies at very youg age. Astoria Malfoy was 36 when she died from blood curse.

Naginis life force was tied to Voldemort as he had part of his soul in her. She could die but not from old age it would seem. Hence the magic cage he placed her in sensing her mortal danger then. Just like the One Ring gave unnaturally long life to those bearing it, becoming a horcrux has the same effect. They cannot be destroyed with natural means.

She very well could have still been the kind-hearted woman when they first met. However, as we have seen, what the effects of just wearing a hulcrux have on the mind of a person. It is no surprise that over time, she had succumbed to the evil it had produced. I agree that her options for companionship deminished after her last change. Each hulcrux was different parts of Voldemorts' soul. It would seem that purhaps Harry had gotten a far lesser percentage, I guess you could say. As he was the last one Voldemort had made. I'd also imagine there is only so much of a soul you can split. This is what I had taken away from it all after pondering it myself for some time. 🤔

There is something I think should be added about Neville Longbottom. Before the Battle of Hogwarts and during what would have been Harry's 7th year, Neville took over the leadership of Dumbledore's Army in Harry's stead and hid with a lot of other Hogwarts Students who were considered unruly by the Deatheater controlled Hogwarts providing them shelter in the room of requirements.
@ginnyjollykidd3 ай бұрын
Stockholm syndrome. And I don't think so. Just like Ginny Weasley, she wanted someone she could safely confide in. And Voldemort could do so in playing the long game of overpowering someone. Stockholm syndrome is where one imprisons another, and the prisoner falls in love with their captor. _Beauty and the Beast_ is a story supposedly about this kind of relationship, but it wasn't so. When Beauty saw in her mirror that the Beast was dying of heartbreak, she rushed to his side to keep him from dying, as she was a compassionate woman. She still didn't see him as a lover. It was only when Beast was freed of his curse that Beauty fell in love with the fully human form of Beast. Beast never really wanted to imprison her since she was exchanged for her father to spare him from Beast punishing her father for stealing a rose from his rosebush. It was a brave substitution she made, and Beauty was sure she would die at the hands of the Beast. Complicated, sure. But not Stockholm syndrome.

Ginny never loved Tom. She just found a "compassionate" friend to whom she could pour out her fears and disappointments to. I doubt Nagini ever loved Voldemort, either but found him a comfort.

This is a stupid take. Molly is a very powerful and adept witch. She is one of the original members of the Order of the Phoenix which was assembled by Dumbledore to be the antithesis to the Death Eaters. It makes perfect sense in how she was able to defeat Lestrange. It was also established in the books and movies that the magic used in the act of love or the defense of those one loves becomes empowered by powerful ancient magic capable of destroying any threat, the same ancient magic you use in Hogwarts Legacy and the same magic that Lily Potter used to defeat Voldemort and save Harry. Your opinion is short sighted and ignorant of the source material.

They were distant relatives and she had just petrified her daughter. Ever heard of mom bear rage? When a mother knows her child is in danger, they get almost a superhuman reaction in order to save them. Now imagine what a trained witch would do after channeling her inner anger?
